I'm sure this is a dumb question but here we go. I have been loading for my 22-250 for about 3yrs and just bought my first ar in 223, my ? is do they shoot the same bullet?
They are the same caliber and depending on the twist rate, may shoot the same weight bullets. Most of my fast twist ARs and my 22-250 will shoot the Sierra 55 gr HPBTs. So, yeah, they can shoot the same bullet.
The AR is great for digesting lots of bullets, especially useful for getting rid of bullets that are otherwise inaccurate in your 250.
Make sure you use a FL sizer for your AR 223 brass, maybe even an SB die.
