I viewed a show on Discovery a while back....
that had a segement on the AirSoft weapons. Their are groups playing at war using these instead of painballs.
You can get an AirSoft that is as close to the real thing as possible without being the real thing. They can be configured in the same ways the M4's our troops overseas are using. They will spend hundreds of dollars to be as exacting as the real thing as possible. And at the end of the day, everyone goes home.
These folks completely outfit themselves in uniforms, load bearing equipment, weapon styles and communications and play at being SEAL's, SF's, Recon, or SpecOps types.
