I was given an old Stevens 94 single-shot break open 410. I figure it'll make a nice truck gun for pine grouse. Anyway, it has a lot of surface rust on the reciever. I looked at the two different cold blueing kits that Birchwood Casey sells--one comes with paste and the other one has liquid agent. Which one do I want to use? and why?

Thanks

The "paste" works faster.

None of them work that well however... and I've tried everyone of them.

some work better if the part is heated up first (hair dryer or heat gun). But it's not going to be a long lasting finish or ever look near as good as new.
