In the first couple years after we moved here out of Detroit, I was walking the Labrador on the state land 1/4 mile down the road and then about 1/2 on the state land. We came upon some huge cat prints in the snow. The lab sniffed a bit and seemed a bit confused. Then he turned around and wanted to go home. He never wanted to go down to that part of the state land again.
I like to see bobcats; over the years we have a had a family of them around here down across the road. I hadn't seen any for some time and then one day last week Rusty and I saw one cross the road below the house.
I've never seen one . The area I live in is 1/3 conservation in Florida they are seen often as well as other creatures. Speaking of labradors smelling I think we got a female hound around here in heat. For some reason the hound is all worked up always wanting to go out and the wife said he was a handful when she walked him last night.
