Finally! I have my daughters' Christmas presents

I've had a goal of winning each of my 3 daughters a new 10-22 for Christmas. It's taken a couple years but I finally have done it! Last weekend Janet and I shot a 2 club, 2 day rimfire match (or matches?). I had gun problems the first day (I think my '83 Buckmark finally needs a new firing pin.) The second day the problem wasn't completely resolved, but I shot better. When my name was announced, I was really surprised!
The girls will each have among other things a brand new, unfired Ruger 10-22 under the tree... I love it when a goal is finally reached! (But it was really hard not to shoot a brand new gun I've won)

It's bad enough that I have to give my daughters Rugers, I don't want to extend that plague.....LOL
(Just kidding, even though I don't shoot mine often, I like 10-22s)

What great gifts! I don't know the age of your daughters but you are giving them the Barbie Doll of rimfires. I've "customized" a bunch of them. I'm down to five in four calibers now but had a dozen at one point. The pieces to personalize a 10/22 are all over the spectrum. My latest mods may be the coolest, appearance wise.

I am ashamed, Mark. I know you remember “Tuck” from rimfire central. Several of guns I sold had stocks he painted.

All the Tuck stocks are gone. I probably would have gotten almost as much for the stocks alone as I did for guns with his stocks. I suffered a severe case of no-shootum-sellum. They had all become safe queens so they went on the block. Two tiger stripes, a candy root beer with ghost flames, a deep dark blue with ghosted Ruger logo. He lived about 50 miles south of me and I went by his place every time I went to the range. He painted everything from motorcycle parts to turtle shells. He had moved to Birmingham, AL last I knew. The guy shipped custom painted stocks all over the country thanks to his work showing up on RFC.

If you could find him, s3gunner, his work would really set those guns apart.
