Got there about 5:30 and left about 10.
Caught around 25 hybrid and 1 smallmouth and 1 catfish.
Hybird weighted between 4 1/2 and 6 and 1/2 or so.
smallmouth was 18" and cat was maybe 24"
had a good time and sure glad we went.
No big rocks this time...other than the hard kind...lol
First time we have used spider wire...that's the way to go.
Didn't have to worry about them breaking off unless you catch
2 at a time and then I had 1 that broke off the bottom bucktail.
Tucker landed 2 hybirds and I got 1 hybrid and the catfish.
Now...got to clean 6 hybirds, only allowed to take home 2 each.

Donnie...1 tired old fart...but I aint hurting from a stone...right now anyway

I am glad to hear you had a great day fishing. I went for a few hours yesterday morning but I didn't have any luck at all except for enjoying myself.

Back in tha day, I caught Rock fish
below Barkley and Ky dams probably in tha
thousands. I fished 3to 5 times a wk depending
on my work schedule and it was a given that
you were going to catch a limit of 5, then from
that point I would catch and release.
I fished a lot at night. They were notorious for
hitting a bait right at tha boat. A 15lb rockfish
on 6ft of line is an adrenaline rush and a handful.

Now the Asian carpet dominates the lakes and
rivers of western Ky. LDS

It must have been a good fishing period or something. My brother and I went with 5 other fellows to Lake Erie to see if we could catch a few walleyes. And that we did..... we caught 42 keeper walleye in just 3 hours, threw back 18 more as they were too small. And as I remember there were 4 perch that landed in the cooler as well. We were busy! :) WD

We've been up there twice and limited out both times pretty quickly. And there's a fresh fish market in Port Clinton (about 3 miles from the dock we go out of) that sells fresh walleye and lake Erie perch. And if you've never had the Lake Erie perch.... you've missed some of the finest eating fish on the planet. :)WD
