49° here in Upstate NY under fair starry skies this morning, the high temperature will get up to about 69° today. It will be a sunny day but with a 9 to 14mph wind. No rain tdoay but we are supposed to get some Saturday.

Yesterday I went "Up Home" for a few hours fishing, I caught one walleye and had a good time. Alas I have to be on the road once more today though for the morning. I hope to get my yard mowed this afternoon.

Prayers for all that need them.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Up way too early, can’t sleep.
Crazy weather here. We should be having rain this time of year. Sometimes it can be cold and rainy through June. We haven’t had rain for a week. A week from Sunday they call for 30% chance of a Thunder Storm that is it.
53° now and a high of 81°.

Good morning from North Platte where it's cloudy and 46, high about 67. And smoky We got into the smoke west of Lincoln yesterday, like heavy fog. The big Alberta fires are responsible.
350 miles to Greely, once we get into Colorado I am getting off the interstate as it's too rough and taking the old hiway. There's a lot more to see.
Hope everyone has a great day,
Ken

morning all. 44 with only 60 for a high with wind and possible showers. We got a little shower yesterday, about a tenth of a inch. We'll take it! But still DRY.
Got the sprinkler I was working on finished up and ready to run, just waiting on the boss man to get it planted now. But didn't get much else done as it started blowing
and spitting a little rain. The crew that put up the two new sprinklers finally came back and got one finished up and ready, also got the old sprinkler tore down and off
the field. Still a long ways to go before there is a crop there!!!
We're going to head west tomorrow morning as early as possible, Grand daughters high school grad party tomorrow afternoon. Will be nice to get away for a couple
days. But as always there will be work piled up when I get home.
Better get, have a great day and weekend. Be safe!!! Prayers for those with issues and problems.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Good Friday Morning to all!

We have 49 degrees in SC PA on the way to a high of 74. Should be sunny and beautiful most of the day. Humidity is low but will pick up some as rain is forecasted for tomorrow morning.

Yesterday was somewhat productive as I was able to nail the big rat that eluded me the night before. I also called Taurus customer service and explained the issue I was having with the TX 22 Compact. The lady requested that I make a video and send it to them so they could see what's going on. This has got me motivated to learn how to do videos, so hopefully over the weekend I can get everything downloaded off my scope and up here for others to see. Kind of a pain in the butt. We'll see how it goes. I can call my buddy in SC if I get in trouble though.

Have a great day everybody!

Good morning folks. TGIF!

Ditto on the report above. Big gun drawing outside tomorrow and they're calling for rain. Just lovely. Not much to report today. I worked at the shop last night. Not real busy. When I got home, Sue had already started watering the plants, so I helped finish that. Made some Wagyu beef smash burgers on the Blackstone griddle for dinner and made cheeseburger subs. Good stuff!!! Back at work this morning. Have to go out in the field for a site meeting this morning. Be nice for a change.

JR...the Bluegrass festival is this weekend. Tell Judy B to call Rhonda and get her to drop by for a visit! It's less than a mile down the road.

Gotta run. Prayers offered. Have a good one!

Grass. I cut grass yesterday. It’s that time of year when it’s tough to keep up. I could have used Kermit’s expert help yesterday too as I had to replace a crank assembly on an Andersen Casement window. Relax Kermit; it was a straight forward exchange. Today I’m a new crank instead of an old one. I guess we’ll transition right into summer today with a high of 75 degrees and rain. And to think yesterday morning it was 31 degrees.

Morning Everyone!

Its 70º and cloudy here headed for the low to mid 80's. We have chances for rain and T'storms this afternoon and tonight.

Yesterday was a lazy day. Didn't do much except piddle around the house with a few chores.

Not much planned for today. The youngest Grandson is in a play tonight so we'll drive over to Hot Springs late this afternoon.

Prayers offered for those in need and for our Country.

Y'all have a good one.

Good morning from W Des Moines. 52 here looking for middle 60s in middle SD. Cabelas in Mitchell then on to Murdo.

Stopped at Scheels in Iowa City yesterday. Their #1 feature is an escalator that takes you to the guns and more primers than I’ve seen lately not counting the BBB. Current normal $80 - $110 per K.

Back on the road. Have a good day.

Good morning ,
57 headed to 68 .
Setting in the parking lot of Henrico Doctors Hospital in Richmond VA the Mrs is having C scope this morning. Finished up completely rebuilding the old rock chucker yesterday not to shabby for a 41 year old press , taking the XP to get another barrel chambered this afternoon. I've thought a lot about what chambering and i have decided on the 6x47 Lapua instead of the 6BRDX. No need to try to reinvent the wheel.

Morning all, 67 headed to 79 today. Ran a lot of errands with the wife yesterday, got some pool room hamburgers for lunch, as good as it gets as far as burgers go in my book. Came home and put a charged battery back on the lawnmower, got it ready to go. I took my ford tractor to the house to clean the area where the pto was leaking off for the guy coming to fix it. I had taken the 50 ft hose, got it full of water an let it lay in the sun for 4 hours. There was grease, oil, and dirt clumped up about 2" thick on the area. I tried some new Gunk foaming engine cleaner, sprayed it on liberally, twice, let it all disipate, and then hit it with the hot water in the hose, cleaned it off down to the paint. I highly recomend it for any engine cleaning chores. I also sprayed the engine down and cleaned it off as well. Going to get the pressure washer out and finish the whole tractor today. Ken take some pics of nice single shot rifles and send them to me, wish I was there with you. You all have a great day, remember those in need of prayers, especially Bruce and Tin man, Buff out.

TGIF, GoGo! At 1004 it's 68 in Louisville, slight overcast and going to 80. Should be really nice outside.

Got a lot accomplished outside yesterday and by bedtime my knees were talking to me. First, I cut cardboard to go down atop the row where we plant tomatoes. Then we were off to Home Depot to figure out what to buy in the way of raised beds. I probably could have saved money and gotten a stronger container by buying lumber and building them myself, but I just didn't want to get into that if I could avoid it.

First we looked at the 4' galvanized things that look like watering troughs, which come both with a bottom and without. After looking at the steel units, we stumbled across a plastic planter about 4' long, 20" or so wide and with legs about 18". I know ... plastic! ... but that's what we're trying this year. We bought two of those. I had previously bought some cattle panels and four 7' T-posts from Rural King with the idea of building some kind of trellis to curve atop the raised beds. The idea is to train tomatoes, zucchini and cucumbers up the arch. I know some of you have likely done something like this, so tips are welcome.

I think I violated my own "be safe" admonition about 13 times fooling with those T-posts. Being a cheapskate, I wasn't going to pay $30-$35 for a post setter that I'd probably use this one time. Instead, I got out my antique wooden stepladder and a hand sledge (aka Savage adjustment tool). I only had to go like two steps up on the ladder, but with my bad knees, that was plenty. Things went pretty well until I was really laying into this one post and I felt the hammer kind of skip off the post and something hit my chest. I had hit the T-post top a glancing blow, broke off a chunk of steel and that's what hit my chest. Could just as easily hit an eye and I didn't have on safety glasses. I just never figured steel might create shrapnel. Then I found the piece that broke off and gave it a good look. Flippin' Chinesium steel that was crystalized inside, kind of like cheap pot metal. Probably made from melted down Chevy Vegas. My guardian angel did me a big favor there.

Y'all have a great day, wear glasses when banging on T-posts, and lift up prayers for our friends here and for our nation.

74° here at 11:14 and this is the first chance I’ve had to check in today. I made it into work this morning and hit the ground a-runnin’. It has been a busy day but that’s OK. I have a 3-day weekend coming up and plan to get some things done at home. Trapshooting tonight with the regular Friday night boys. It’s just a fun little 35-bird shoot with a good bunch of guys. We play to win but no one takes it TOO serious. They’re calling for rain so the crowd might be small.
Safe travels to those on the road, regardless of what direction you’re going.
Make it a good day.

Noontime greetings from the sticks of Kentucky at about 79° and sunny.
I have been doing my best imitation of @Dean in Colo. today working on my Oldest Hay mower...getting blades changed or Flipped and replacing some of the worst ones.
Greased both large tractors whilest I was already greasy.
@Kentucky Fisherman those New T posts are Crap as you found out. I used to take a bent one and straighten it by jigging it in a drawbar of a tractor but I had one of the New ones Snap into causing me to get a pretty hard fall couple years ago. Chinesium for sure low grade at that.

Afternoon everyone...nice and warm here at the shop. Today is maintenance day for the old dairy suburban before blast off next week for the start of Pdog wars 2023! Oil and air filters got changed and I have the one year old from axle out for an exchange since the inner boot ripped.....last 2 times it was the outer. There going to be a transmission fluid and filter change but after draining the pan it won't come out without taking the exhaust loosed from the manifolds. I put a socket on one and pulled until it got to the oh shit stage and wasn't coming loose. Pan got put right back on....luckily these newer vehicles have reusable gaskets....looks like just a partial fluid change. I stuck my fingers in the pan and wiped around and just got clean fluid so didn't feel.a bunch of crap in there.

Trailer is cleaned out and should start getting loaded up with stuff for the trip. Hopefully the weather cooperates and it's nice and dry and not too hot for a few days at least.

Hope everyone has a good day!

OH JR ! You’re bringing back memories ! Kash D Amburgey was on TV every day when I was a kid. I remember being a little kid and all of the grown-ups laughing when I tried to imitate him. After the Bargain Barn went out of business, he would visit Mom and Dad’s church occasionally but no snakes were involved.
He was Probably one of the first Kubota tractor dealers in these parts too.
