36° here in Upstate NY this morning under starry skies, it is the first time in a few days or more I have seen any stars out. The high temperature today will be up to only about 56°, it will be mostly sunny and there is a 30% chance of showers. It looks to stay cooler for the next few days and we are going to be having a chance of showers along with it.

Yesterday was a quiet day for me which I could use, it has been hectic this week and I will be glad to have it over with. I did something I very seldom ever do yesterday and that was take a nap in the afternoon for a couple of hours. Today my Granddaughter gets out of the hospital with my new Great Granddaughter, my wife and I won't be visiting till next week to let the family get settled down. Today I have paperwork to do and I am entertaining thoughts for shooting some clay birds. I would love to be going fishing but the river is still a foot or so higher than fishing level.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good morning from NC Ohio 45 going to 60's with light rain for now, heavy rain is coming Sunday. The grass got mowed yesterday, some of the heaviest grass I've seen for some time. George was talking about shooting clays, that used to be one of my favorite shoots esp. sporting clays and trap. I still own a Lincoln self cocking trap, anyone interested a good deal could be yours. Be safe and healthy Prayers to all and country. Mike

Good morning from Waseca, it's 43, clear and 57 for the high. I ended up working yesterday afternoon planning my Tamarac 2x8's. A friend called and said bring them over. We have them cleaned up enough to usable. I have projects for them awaiting time to work.
This afternoon is a memorial service for all the folks who passed away at a local care center after COVID got in.
Hope everyone has a blessed,
Ken

Great morning folks,

Just 35° with patchy fog and a clear sky for now here near HalfwayUSA. Scattered rain is expected later but our temperature is only expected to 54°.

I got some chores done before rolling north to old hunting partner's place. We had a meeting with the bank and they readily admitted they were in error by not processing the checks written against his account. They promptly refunded the $25 per check charge for the returned unpaid checks. We were assured (again) all restrictions have been removed.

I did start to de-hoard his garage a bit. I hauled out some of the same crap that had cluttered up his house. I can see that being a weekly occurrence for the next several weeks.

Final preparations for moving aunt & uncle will be completed today & I expect I will have my truck & trailer backed into a spot by mid afternoon. I suppose there won't be a reason I can't get a head start on loading up stuff.

Its 46 in western Ky on the way to 65 and sunny. Had some weather excitement
on WE Night, I know I'm a day late. A Tornado touched down about 1/2 mile from me at 3:30 on TH morning. It took the metal off a couple of boat storage buildings. It touched down again 5 mi east on a friends farm at took out about 25 trees. I was up when the very strong wind passed by. It only lasted a minute. We missed another severe storm opportunity TH afternoon, just got a little rain out of that front. The spring bad weather has started early. Ya'll have a goodun. LDS

morning all. 36 with a high of 75 later, also a chance of moisture thru next week, and yes the wind is going to blow again. Was a nice but warm day yesterday, seemed kinda hot to me!
After morning chores and cow checking, I had to work on two sprinklers that had shut off during the night, finally got them both working about lunch time.
In the afternoon I got two more serviced and ready to go. Probably more of the same today, we'll see. Might be working cattle, need to get about 400 calves branded soon.
Have a good FRIDAY and be safe. Prayers for those who need them and our country.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Good morning all from the pancake joint. It’s 39 heading for 63 with a chance of rain and a chance of golf. After the nap we’ll go to a high school softball game where we coached long ago. Some of our former players will be there. Looking forward to that.

Off to the golf pasture. Have a good day.

I’ll be damned, the temperature is the same as my age, 39. I don’t think the weather today looks all that promising but we’ll see. I see Doug has the same situation.

Good morning folks. TGIF. It's 48 here headed to low 60's with rain this afternoon. I'm off today. Had I known it wasn't going to rain this morning, we would have probably gone to my bud's fishing. Oh well. I actually woke up about 4:30 this morning and while trying to get back to sleep considered going for turkeys. Just didn't feel like it. Not without my little hunting buddy. Miss Sue and I are going to go to a greenhouse to pick up flowers for my daughter. I suspect we'll be down there planting them tomorrow, and perhaps ripping off an old, rotted deck. Mike, I'm right there with ya on the "thick grass" thing. I mowed last night and my weed and feed is working really well, especially the feed part. Looks like the weeds I sprayed are stressed. Got most of them, but will most likely have to spot treat again. Yard is looking pretty good for being in the woods. No way to control the "neighbors". Need to pick up some grass seed and get some spots planted and growing, then hit it all with crabgrass preventer in a few weeks.

Well, I need a shower and some breakfast. Better get on the move. Have a good one!

Good morning from the sticks of Kentucky where we have 48° and sunny, headed to high 60s today. Cool night and unlike KF, I did not leave the windows open, but had a fire in the wood stove. Anytime the forecast Temp starts with a 4, I have a fire in the stove.

Yesterday, I tinkered with more farm machinery doing lubrication of bearings, greasing U joints and more fun greasy stuff. It is going to be Hay Time in just a few weeks and moving Jesse to Ft. Leavenworth is going to be in the middle of it. My buddy Rick will no doubt be On Call for breakdowns which require a Bigger Hammer than I can swing. I trimmed the ditch lines with a weed whacker yesterday and my knees were hurt so bad that I didn't think I could get back to the house.
I knew a Girl once that said: "I don't Do Weed Eaters, I do Roundup." SHE gave good advice and I am getting my spray filled up today.

JB has got us invited to a Birthday/Anniversary party tonight that I definitely don't want to attend. Rich folks that live in a $5 Million dollar house and small farm. Bet that feller doesn't have Grease under his fangernails unless it's from some fancy Steak joint. A friend is singing and playing there at the private function and I am happy for him making a go in the business.
I'm not sure what sort of Greasy job I will tackle today but one will find me. I have a washed out fence I need to replace soon.

Y'all have a safe day and don't bend over if your Boss Man has a Hot Branding Iron in his hands. Can't trust anyone that will ear tag a live Mountain Lion

Good morning and TGIF, GoGo. It's 47 in Louisville, going to 66, and mostly sunny.

Yesterday I potted up some tomato and sunflower seedlings that we started inside under lights. The tomatoes were getting rootbound and definitely needed more room. I'm ready to start hardening them off, but our overnight lows will be down into the mid to low 40s for about the next week and I don't' want to stunt them with too much cold.

My knees, especially the right one, have been keeping me awake at night off and on for the past six weeks. I finally broke down and made a doctor appointment for next Tuesday to begin the process of X-rays and evaluation. I'd love to avoid knee replacement, but I don't know many folks who've had true long-term relief from steroid shots. If any of you have gotten relief with non-surgical procedures, drop me a PM.

Y'all have a great weekend, be safe, and join me in praying for our friends and our nation.

Morning Gents!

Its 55º and Sunny here headed for the low 70's. There are still rain and storms forecast for Sunday.

I didn't do much yesterday and probably won't do much today. My foot is still swollen up and sore from the fall I had the other night. I can see the back porch where we feed most of the birds from my recliner and thats probably going to be my day.

Prayers offered for our members fighting health problems, our Country and any others in need.

You'all have a good one.

Upper 40's at sunrise and upper 60's by late afternoon with sunshine and light wind is the weather report for today in Peay Hollow. Hay fever is kicking my butt and can hardly talk. My wife probably thinks that's a good thing as she can barely hear anyway. I'm doing my part for breaking up critter families as I caught and transported 4 chipmunks and a small garter snake (from my basement) yesterday. I don't mind having the snakes here as they keep my basement rodent free. I'd just rather not see them. Have a couple of orders to mail, then it's packing and sacking for a drive to Danville KY and a UBR match tomorrow. Supposed to be cool all day, but wind is forecast as low and consistent. We all know the weather guessers are mostly liars. We'll see.

G'day Y'all,
Rick

Just out of Oven and still pretty hot. I was amazed it was not runny from the heat.
Yep. All it needs is Vanilla Ice Cream.

J R you are a mean old man, to do that to us, show us something like that and ain't no chance of us gettin any of it.

2:30 in the afternoon, 70* and mostly cloudy here in the northern Ozarks and a cool breeze blowing, nothing to move dirt like Dean's dirt mover. Here I am 76 years old and hurt all over most all the time from RA, was helping my brother in law get some short 2X6 treated boards out of his truck, set my cane down and it fell over and tripped me as I stepped backward. I fell straight backward and landed on my butt first and then the back of my head hit the Asphalt driveway. No blood, but a heck of a lump on the back of my head and a lot of pain all over.

I did get something off the brown truck that might make it feel better, I have been looking for a 17 Fireball barrel for my Contender carbine. I finally found one from a fellow in LA. who was willing to part with one, for a price, a little higher then I had hoped to pay, but a nice barrel made by OTT. The nice lady in the brown truck brought it and handed it to my wife, who frowned as she gave it to me. I bet it is going to be fun to play with, hopefully will get to take it out to the prairie dog grounds.

Prayers to all who are suffering and for this great country, and those that lover her, too Hell with the ones who don't. Have a great weekend.

I couldn't agree more, Kermit. The Humpday Girl photos are nice, gun porn is nice, but JR really pulled out all the stops torturing us with those JB pie photos. No way he can eat all that pie by himself, which means somebody else is gonna get our pies! That just ain't right, JR!

Mr Murl, Kermit, and The Carpman are right. That is just downright cruel To tease us like that.

I stole the idea For this picture from someone else on the board. I think it may have been Charlie.
