61° here in Upstate NY this morning, the high temperature for today will be about 82°. The next three days they say are going to hot, hot, hot.

We had quite a bit of rain the last couple of days which we could well use. I managed to sleep in an extra hour today and I needed it. It has been a long week and I was tired.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

morning all. 48 and headed to the high 80s or above. Got into the low 90s yesterday  with wind.
The forest fire is really big now, this hot dry, windy weather is making it hard for fire fighters. Several home have been burned, could be as many as 40 so far, but you know how rumors are.
Got the sprinklers fixed and out of the mud hole, and running again yesterday. Dentist appt went well with no problems :D
Its FRIDAY, hope you all have a great weekend.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Greater morning,

For now we have a clear sky with 65° but later we expect to get over 90° here near Halfway USA.

Well the barn got a cleaning & the stuff that got dragged out to paint & undercoat the ******* Limo is back to being stowed away. The hitch is on Debra Dearest's Edge. That little project went smooth even with her helping. :D She learned about fishing bolts with a wire into tight places. It was a pleasure watch her become frustrated. :D

We will probably try out the hitch this morning using the bike rake. We will head north to the next big town up the road & ride the old fat tire bikes a bit before it gets too hot.

A little more end mill work needed on an 80% lower receiver that is still fixed to the drill press. That will get done this afternoon.

Planning firming up for Prairie Dog Safari 2018. I know I am looking forward to the trip westward.

good Friday morning gang. It's 68º but not for long. Weather guesser says 90's thru all next week, with no rain. Gonna have to be watering my new grass for sure. We're having a heat wave. Honestly, I hope we get one like this the end of July...big Bermuda high's make offshore fishing good at Hatteras.;)

Didn't get anything done last evening. Had to work at the gun shop last night, and after that, Miss Sue and I went to the fireman's carnival for dinner. Food has gone up in price considerably, but it's for a good cause. And it was good too. Got home and watched the wrens a bit. I could hear them chirping when I got out of the truck. Momma seems to be coming and going to the new house with bugs. I needed to get the boat loaded for our fishing trip tomorrow, but I left them alone, to get used to the new nest.

Well, I guess I'll finish up here and get to work. Have a good one gang!

Good Morning from Missouri

At 7:15 the temp is 79* and on the way to upper 90's, here in the northern Ozarks. Yesterday the official temp was 97* and my thermometer was registering 100* at the time. No rain in sight. Had some heavy storms roll through lots of limbs down and trees over but not a lot of rain out of it and what did fall, came so fast it just ran off the ground.
Heading out to the gun shop in a few minutes, the boss is going to be gone today and tomorrow. Hoping all goes smooth. The little fridge we have there for cold drinks went out a couple of days ago, so no cold water to drink. Business has been pretty slow for most of the summer. Hoping it picks back up before too long.
All you-all have a great day and weekend. Be careful out there the heat is really a dangerous thing. Take it easy and don't over do it. God bless.

Good morning, GoGo, and TGIF. It's 77 in Louisville, going to 92, with a Heat Index over 100. It's gonna be bad today and tomorrow, with highs still around 90-91 all next week. I'll have to set aside 30 minutes right at dark to water my container plants, mostly flowers. My potted marigolds and zinnias suck up the water through BIG STRAWS, I swear.

Got my Nat Lambeth Savage bolt lift kit installed in the .204R yesterday. The bolt cocks on opening and Nat's modified parts and instructions make the lift about 40% lighter. Not a big deal most of the time, but if you're shooting benchrest competition you do everything you can to not move the rifle between shots. A smooth, lighter bolt lift should reduce distractions. I installed the kit in my .204 first, now I'll move on to my 6BR, which is what I shoot in UBR.

Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there.

Y'all have

Morning

Good morning all. It's hot in Indy heading for a hotter that feels a lot hotter than the number. Been in the wilds of Perry Park, KY the last 3 days stalking golf rocks. Danged things don't come to the call no matter what you call 'em. Got rained out Tuesday and the course was pretty soggy Wednesday and Thursday. Cell service is spotty at best but the company was good and the hospitality is great. The place is so popular that you have to book for next year before you leave or you lose your spot.

Gonna' venture back out to see the B17, Aluminum Overcast, at the Greenwood airport just a couple of miles south of us. Love those old warbirds but I don't love 'em enough to drop $400 - $800 for a ride. After that, I'm in for the day.

Have a good'n.

Mornin' folks,
In the 70's and going to upper 80's, maybe low 90's later today. But right now it's overcast. Looking ahead I se a lot of 90's, but then it is almost July, what can you expect? Beats the hell out of January.
We're beginning to experience more of the frustration factor in our range construction. We only found out just before starting that we had to get a storm water permit from TDEC. The county codes officer didn't seem to think of it early on and it is causing us some frustration and will definitely cost some $$ and will leave a mark in the budget. But it is what it is and we don't need to get crossways with any government agencies. Fortunately we are getting current members to renew and some new members signing up, so I don't think $$ is going to be a huge problem.

I have some business to do as well as some honey-dos, so today will be a mixed bag like most days.

G'day Y'all,
Rick

Good afternoon everyone...at the shop sweating my ass off....temp says 86 but a real feel of 98....just nasty! Got more SS cones going on today...but not for long...I got my table top laid out yesterday and think I'll cut and sand it in a while then on to making a seat and painting the whole thing.

Got a big hog roast to go to tomorrow night....I think the cut 3 pigs last night..they usually do it on Friday night and it's the party before the party.:D
Tune up session for Saturday.

Got my 500rnds of 204R in yesterday from White Birch Armory so I'm good on 204 for now.
I might replace my shooting stick I use for coyotes for a extendable tripod I seen...the single stick is pretty stable for coyotes in a chair but not sure about Pdog sized targets.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Charlie, get used to the food prices. This tariff BS is going to hurt the US across the board. Farmers and small manufacturers are the first casualties. Need cheese? Our surpluses are growing.
I had expected better from the big T.
