38° here in Upstate NY this morning, the high for the day is to get up to about 46°. We are to have showers today and then it will cool down some for the weekend.

Another day of being on the road yesterday and busy all day. I am hoping it will be a day where I can be at home more today. Wait and see is the motto I use for hoping.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Morning from Waseca where it's 5 below zero and not snowing. A cold day today.
Yesterday the plumber fixed the known leaks and turned on the water to the system. And the kitchen and living room began to fill with water. Another big mess as there are three unknown leaks. He does not have the parts to fix them till Monday. Looks like I am stuck here for the weekend. Uff Duh as they say here.
Hope everyone has a blessed day.

Morning Gents! Its 45º and cloudy here. Its forecast to stay about the same all day and then cool down tonight and tomorrow with chances of rain. Not much going on here except the ongoing project of reorganizing my loading room. I'll work awhile, stop and rest awhile and work awhile.

Good Morning

Morning to all. 37 here in NC Ohio with the cold front moving thru, 28 by 5PM. The Amish contractor gave me the estimate for the pole barn ceiling, I expressed some concern over the lights, he said: No problem he would put a little pully there and I could easily raise a oil lamp. No end to their humor!!! Well guess our pres is going to sign the trash bill. Only thing we need is for Nancy b to read the constitution before opening her mouth. Be safe and Prayers to those and country. Mike

morning all. 33 with a little snow on the ground, maybe a quarter inch, but at least it was wet! High close to 40 today, still calling for snow for the next several days, we'll see how that goes.
Finished the second big red tractor service job yesterday, not sure what will happen today yet.
No calves born yet that I know of, but should start any day now.
Have a great day, it's FRIDAY! Remember those in need of our prayers.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Good morning all you varmints from up here on the vast, white, frozen prairie. -3 with a light breeze of 15 mph. That makes it damn cold outside. Let the dog out and he didn’t want to go. Got after him and he went out marked the bushes once and came right back, was out all of 2 minutes.
Spent all day yesterday day the tandem grain truck hauling snow out into the field. We need to make room because there is no more room to push the snow. At least the heater in that old binder works real well. We should finish today pretty easy, barring any problems. Tillage equipment and seeders are getting pulled out of storage and getting prepped for spring. Which I hope is just around the corner. The days are getting longer and that midday sun has got some power. It sure tells good. Supposed to get up to +15 today.. Coffee ready got to make breakfast and get ready to climb back in the truck at daylight.
I hope all of you have a good day and whatever your doing, do it safely.

morning folks. It's 39º here already and maybe headed to 50's later. Looks to be a nice couple days in store for us. Too bad I have to work.:( Hope you all got something nice for your sweetie yesterday? Mikey, did you get to use your velcro gloves? :D Glad that day only happens once a year. Cost me $30 on roses that will be thrown away in a week. Oh well, I'm a lucky guy to have her.

Better get busy. Lots to do. Prayers offered. Have a good one gang!

It's around 50* here now in E TN, cloudy (the norm here lately). The weather people are calling for up to 5-6" of rain in the area thru next Thursday , no snow, just rain. We had over an inch earlier this week, the ground is pretty soggy, like a wet sponge when you walk thru the yard so it will be getting worse. I did get two small trees trimmed yesterday, considering cutting one down completely as it's a pain and in the way when I mow. Don't have a chain saw and can't justify buying one for just this small job. A bow saw would work but that's a lot of sawing on a 8' thick trunk.

The boat is ready to float if we get the 5" of rain, so....

Good morning all. We’re at the day’s high of 31 already. Heading out to the police range this morning to renew my LEOSA handgun license. Allows you to carry nation wide local laws be damned. Breakfast is on the table. Have a good day.

Great morning folks,

Currently 54° with more clouds than sky out here in the dirt. 68° this afternoon with more clouds than sun. Yesterday was most in characteristic as it rained most of the day & finished near dark.

Getting out of the trailerhood by checkout time turned into a challenge when the big slide out on the big double wide would not slide in. Mike & tried several obvious things then determined we would try to hand crank it in. NATURALLY it takes a specialty tool. Don't ever tell a machine repairman he can't do something because he will take apart stuff until it's fixed. He can do it with a pair of tweezers if he has to.

We disassembled part of the drive mechanism and found the gearbox had jammed up. A little creativity with a long punch I bought at a rummage sale recently and we freed it. We got things closed up after reassembly & decided not to drive in the rain & heavy wind.

Learning how to work on slide outs was not something I wanted to do so just keep that between us. I am going to make my own specialty tool when get back home.

We did leave the trailerhood but only went about 5 mile to some open BLM land for the night. We are heading out to Imperial Dam at mid morning for some boondocking.

Good late morning, GoGo. It's 38 in Louisville, only going to 40, with snow starting around 6 or 7 tonight. We're supposed to be on the northern edge of the snow and should only get an inch. Just south of us could get 1-3. I'm hoping it's just a pretty snow and doesn't create any problems. I don't know that the river is dropping, but it isn't coming up like it was earlier this week.

Drove over to Shelbyville (20 miles or so) yesterday and picked up that Rural King bargain Mossberg .30-06 I ordered. I can see light through the barrel and the bolt slides smooth enough, but that's about all I can say that's positive. Pretty much a pencil barrel and the plastic stock is indeed a POS. Dang trigger guard is molded-in plastic, too. The next time I get excited about a bargain gun, somebody talk me off that ledge, OK?

Doug, I guess I'm too old to go back and put in the time to get that LEOSA carry permit, right? I think the Kentucky legislature is considering what amounts to a constitutional carry bill. Sounds like good news to me.

Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there.

Uber late to pretty much everything. Still shaking off a dose of the head crud. I never realized what can come out of a person's sinus'. 10 days of sitting in a recliner sweating and shaking. Only lost 2 pounds. Must be I am all muscle.
Everyone have a safe and healthy day.
Back to a pile of work.

Shane, you crack me up. First off, Gatling only has two G's if you're talking about the Gatling gun. Gatlin-burg, on the other hand, only has one G in the Gatlin part. I think the town is named for the Gatlin Brothers. :D

Second, I'm curious whether they teach "cobbled up goose shit welding" in vocational schools or do guys have to learn how to do that OJT? :D:D

Cobbled up and goose shit welding..

I welded for years. I only saw cobble up welds come from the vocational schools. I saw no goose shit welds come out of vocational schools nor did we find any geese around the shop. However a couple months after they would come into the shop we would start finding geese around and goose shit in the welds. So my experience has been goose shit Wells occur after someone has been on the job a few months. I hope this helped. 😜😂😆😁🤪🤪😁🤣

Ky I didnt notice my misspelling.....I'm on my phone which beside little bitty viewing the screen looks like it's been hit with a shot gun blast.

Goose shit welds usually appear around the dairy and involves wet welding rods that have been in the floor of the truck too long.

As for the vocational schools......I been out of there way too long to know what's going g on now.

Copnfused

I may be confused, but if KY goes constitutional
carry, there will be no more permits, then when
making a firearms purchase everyone will go through a
4473 background ck. What say you??? LDS
It's all confusing Larry. In Indiana, you have to do the 4473 for a gun purchase from a dealer no matter who you are or what kind of license you have.

The LEOSA license allows active or retired LEOs and military personnel to carry in any state whether that state recognizes your home state license or not. Screw you, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, etc., etc. Each police department is authorized to set qualification standards for their officers/retirees. I searched on line for LEOSA info and found some departments charge as much as $100 to apply for the license. Indpls Metro PD charges no fee, provides 9mm ammo, and issues a photo ID. The course of fire? I'll just say I could do it throwing rocks. The officer who put me through the rigorous test told me I could come back and shoot when they don't have departmental training going on.

Yeah, Mikey. You might be starting a little late but, if you can get your good buddy the county sheriff to make you a special deputy............ :D
