52° here in Upstate NY this morning, the high temperature for today is to be up to about 60°. Going to be breezy with a 70° of some showers. Then tonight it will cool off for the weekend.

On the road a lot again yesterday but perhaps today I will be to have some home time. It has been a busy week but I have enjoyed it, I met some new people.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good morning from Bartonville Texas, 43 and sunny, high is just 58. Well, I shelled out the dollars yesterday for shocks and a air ride pinbox for the RV. All in an effort to get a smooth ride and less complaining from the wife. It will be a couple of weeks before it's installed.
Early morning appointment here also, out the door be 7:30.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

Morning Gents! Its 44º here and clear headed for the 50's. It looks like a week of nice weather is in the forecast. The T'storm yesterday moved through without any real damage and it turned out to be a nice day. I hope that storm didn't cause any of you any problems.

Day 10 of the kitchen remodel. They just about got all of the cabinets in yesterday. They should finish setting them and trimming around them today. Then we will have some down time while waiting on the counter tops.

You'all have a good one.

morning all. 11 to start with, 41 for a high. That should make soup of the rest of the snow!
The cold yesterday morning was hard on the calves, over the two day storm we lost six and have others that are sick now. I just hate having to go around and load dead calves to haul off. But I bet the coyotes like to see me leave the field where the dead animal pit is.
Worked in the shop for maybe a hour was all yesterday, maybe more today.
Not much else going on but chores and cows watching.
Time to move along, have a great FRIDAY. Stay warm and safe.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Only getting up to 50 today. The 70mph winds we had yesterday did some tree trimming for us. Fortunately, no branches fell on anything vital. Been a hectic week here at work but my reward is going to be some much-deserved range time, this evening.
Congratulations Charlie on bringing that muzzleloader back from the dead. That’s always a rewarding feeling no matter the co$t.
Looks like Skruske has proven once again that when preparation meets opportunity, great things can happen. He’s not only having a great Western Adventure but he also rode out the bitter Michigan winter in the sunny Southwest. That could become habit-forming y’know ?
Well, looks like it’s time for me to start doing some work, time for JR to start unrolling hay for the cows to stomp in the mud and time for the cook at the Pancake House to start building a stack so Doug can make it disappear.

Make it a good weekend

It seems we survived the rough weather with minimal damage unlike far western Kentucky which was hammered with tornados.
Maybe a few limbs on the electric fences which i will check out today. Our rainfall was very little so that will be a welcome change.

I caught this cute little guy in a live trap day before yesterday, he was almost tame enough to pet so i released him in another area far away.

Today i plan on dragging a down tree out of a hayfield. Sycamore so i dont want it for firewood. Also i need to go visit my 93 yr old Uncle Mel who is a WW 2 Navy vet, he is about down.

Dean, we need some photos of the calves, yeah the live ones. You know No photo Didn't happen. Tough job in the winter out there, i couldn't do it.

Off to sling out hay and check things out.

Oh, that **** WAS in a cage when i took the photo.

Good morning, GoGo. It's 46 in Louisville and staying right around there all day. Yesterday's high was 74 and at 10 last night it was still 67.On the back side of this front it's supposed to start out around 30 and go to around 50 the next several days.

Yesterday brought crazy scary weather starting about 9:30 around Paducah (far west). From then until about 8 last night we had severe thunderstorms, straight-line winds of 60-70 mph and tornadoes popping up everywhere. Around here the worst damage was 20 miles or so north of Louisville up in Southern Indiana.

Not sure whether this photo was from the Paducah area or up in Southern Indiana:

This photo is a church just west of Paducah:

Y'all have a good day and be safe out there.

Good morning GGVG gang. It's Friday...TGIF. It's 60º here already, going to near 70 they say. Looks like all the water dropped out of the sky west of us so we're not likely to get much. Fine with me. Cloudy and some wind coming they say. Been working my @ss off with the new position. Still doing the old position stuff as well, until we get more help. More work, still no more pay. Worked late last night then worked late at the gun shop as well. Haven't had time to do anything at night when I get home. I hope to get out of here at a reasonable time today and go home and do NOTHING. Have to work at the shop tomorrow and have another gun bingo to cover Sunday. No rest for the weary.

Speaking of work...I better get back to it. Have a good one.

Good morning everyone...not sure of the temp but it ain't bad. Got a little rain yesterday but nothing rough. Nothing different going on except a trip to Wilmore in the morning to go pick the daughter up for spring break. We was going to go down today but she has to open and close the barns this week so she wouldn't get done until 8 and I ain't driving back all night.

More spool welding going on today,I have welded 12 now with another 12 to go then maybe another or for 24.

Not too bad of a job.....beats welding through dairy cow shit and rust!

Have a good day!

46º and sunny in the hollow. Going to the low 60's sometime today. Nothing special going on. I have several spring chores to do like cleaning last year's nests from the martin apartments, cutting some grass and moving a bluebird house or two. Working outside should be pleasant. Lookin' good Shane.

G'day Y'all,
Rick

Late check in guys, been busy, well as busy as I can be on crutches. I have the front half of the shop cleaned up, 12x16 and 16x16' in the back to go, not too much to do in the back. I have not been working in the shop much the last year, and have left tools and stuff laying around. Feels good to get things in place, get back to a little bit of normal. Going to load a bunch of 45/70 and an 300BO in the coming week, I have gotten a load worked up using a 230gr Cast bullet that shoots great, moly coated. Well got to run, remember those in need of prayers, Buff out!

JR, I seem to remember that years ago someone on the board had a wild critter they had made a pet. Seems like it might have been a young groundhog or maybe a ****. Was that you?

Well, I had a Young Groundhog for a while. I made a photo of him holding a Ruger emblem that I clipped off something.
Raccoons make a good pet if you can put up with them....

I'm sure Donnie Harber has had *****, possums, groundhogs and maybe bear cubs.

Pet ****

My dad use to say “Crazy as a pet ****”. I had one for awhile and gave it to a friend. Half monkey half cat. Boy can they get around and into every thing. The guy I gave it to kept it in a rabbit hutch and would let it out at night. It would come back to the hutch to sleep in the morning. The **** finally ended up in a private zoo. I went to see it and it weighed 35# the owner said. When it was still little and was climbing my moms curtains was when it had to go. I found it along with 4 others in a hollow tree that had been bulldozed. The others died because the people that took them tried feeding them regular milk instead of bitch milk.
