I think it's Wednesday not really sure but we try to catch the Fast 150mph train back to Vicenza today. That's the only way to travel here as the traffic is beyond description. We toured Vatican City, Pope said tell everyone hello and he wanted to go fishing with Charlie in a couple weeks. Carl, we saw the Spanish steps. They lead from the Spain embasy up a big hill to the Spainish church built a few hundred years ago.
Trevi Fountain was very beautiful along with a few dozen more places. We have seen a lot of Roman sites but I'm ready to GTF outta here. I ate at a McDonalds for lunch and had a pack of tuna for dinner, sick of pasta, don't like any of it but the Beer is ok.
I do hope Scott and DD made it home safe from Wyoming. Express our Condolences to Bill.

37° here in Upstate NY this chilly morning, the high for today is to get up to about 45. Tonight into tomorrow morning they say we could get a little bit of snow in places.

Yesterday was spent on the road all day and I am hoping to be able to spend some time at home today. Of course it is early and things have known to happen to interrupt my plans.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Wednesday Morning

37 degrees here this morning and headed to 58 today. Perfect weather this week, in my opinion. I spent a big part of yesterday swinging the splitting maul. Nice to be outside with no bugs swarming around plus the stove doesn’t eat as much firewood in this weather.

I’m with ya on the pasta JR, I’m not a big fan of it. Are you picking up any of the language over there ? All I know is the Italian word for colonoscopy is “ innuendo”.

Seems these last few days have flown by. The week is half over already.

Great morning folks,

42° with some clouds covering the sky here near Halfway USA.

We stopped by the other side of the state to visit with family. Debra jumped right in helping with details and caught a few things that were overlooked.

We pulled in the driveway about 10pm, unloaded stuff, put two coolers worth of Elk in the freezer and crashed into bed.

Up & around already. Laundry is getting caught up so far & coffee is getting consumed. I will be taking the camper off the truck, hooking to the 5th wheel and we should be back on the other side of the state by dinner time.

JR, we'll pass you kind words along to Bill.

Good morning all. Brisk 40 here in Indy. I’m way beyond ready for the political liars season to end. It’s constant.

We ate at Olive Garden last night just so we could share the feeling of being in Itlee. Kinda’ like going to Taco Bell for Mex food.

Gotta’ get going. Have a good day.

morning all. 35 this morning with low 50s in sight. The wind blew all day yesterday and all night, still at it this morning too.
Worked in the shop yesterday, got the last swather serviced and ready to bed, now to clean out the shed, clean the balers and park everything away for the winter.
Doc appt. this morning so that will shoot a hole in what gets done today around here.
Prayers for Deb and Scott and family.
Have a Happy Hump Day and be safe.
GOD BLESS. Dean

good morning folks. Happy HUMP DAY for most, not for me, it's Friday. I have the next 2 days off to hunt (early MZ Season in MD). Not going to be a real productive day. I have to drive and deliver plans this morning and don't want to jump right into something new when I get back. Might just leave early.

Picked up an older Rem 700ML at the shop last night for FREE. Some guy came in and gave it to us with a Leupy 3-9. Boss took the Leupy and gave the rifle to me. The guy just wanted rid of it. Piece of junk he said. Well ANY mz gun will instantaneously turn into a POS if you don't CLEAN IT. The guts of this thing is rusted, corroded beyond belief. The exterior and interior of the bore actually looks good. He rounded off the breech plug. It's stuck. Guess he never heard of cleaning and anti-sieze. It has the 209 nipple upgrade, but it's corroded badly. I found replacement parts IF I can get the dang plug out and the bolt apart to change springs. Might just yank the whole barrel and get a Rem pre-fit and go semi custom. Fun winter project.

JR...I could live on PASTA. Love it! Safe travels Scott and DD. Prayers sent for all.

Have a good one!

Charlie

HAPPY HUMP DAY, GoGo, from the hills of beautiful Gatlinburg. We're actually about halfway between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, but Gatlinburg is shorter to type. :) It's a balmy 55 here, going to 66. It spit rain all day yesterday, so instead of fishing my buddy and I hit the Smokey Mountain Knife Works in Sevierville. Turns out it's right across the street from a big Bud's Guns, so we spent maybe an hour in that place as well. My buddy is in love with the little inexpensive Ruger 9mm, I think it's an ECS or ECW maybe. At any rate one store had it for $209 and the other wanted $219.

Here's your Hump Day artwork from Mikey. I'm guessing CPT Jesse would grin at this one.As for critters, we've seen three bears, that herd of elk, and a lot of goats. Haven't seen sheep down here, but these people seem to like goats.

I think doing a little shopping in downtown G'burg is on the schedule for today. I know we're gonna try to get by our favorite craft place, which is Alewein Pottery. They make good stuff there and are good people.

That's it for today. JR, you hang in there like a dried booger, buddy. Scott, we're sorry for the loss and pain you and DD are going through, and will keep the family in our prayers.

Have a good'n and be safe out there.

It’s 35 degrees at the base of beautiful Mt. Shasta, going to get up to 73 this afternoon.

Prayers sent for DD and Scott.

I expected to see some pictures of JR dressed up in gladiator garb, standing on the floor of the Colosseum.

Have a great day and be careful out there.

Good morning everyone...not much going on here at the shop today so far. I need to look at rebuilding a furnace rack that is just nasty and may be better off making a new one. Waiting on a couple jobs to get machined so we can get started welding on those soon hopefully.

Started Mighty ****** yesterday....96 C3500 with 486,000 miles on it and had a pretty good water leak..ended up being a loose clamp on a hose from the water pump to the intake. Then decided to go ahead and replace the seeping power steering line on it after it has leaked for a few months. As soon as I get the bed built for my other truck the Chevy is gonna get sold....little 5.7L struggles pulling all that weight. My other truck is a 2001 Dodge 3500 cab chassis with a 24v cummins with only 150K and zero rust on the body.

Good to see Scott and DD made it home ok and Prayers sent for Debs sister and all the family.

I wonder if Jr will trade in his boonie hat for some fancy Italian head dressing of some sort?

I stopped drinking pop a maybe two weeks now except for maybe 2 in that time and lost 8lbs already. Hopefully it continues to drop off some more.

Hope everyone has a good day and stays safe!

Late day check in gang. Got up this morning and did some deer scouting for the upcoming ML season this weekend, and we can kill either sex since our zone got changed this year. I saw a nice 8pt at one stand site and 3 does at ANOTHER ON, plus also found a hot scrape line made this morning or last night, smelled it before I saw it! Spent all day at the docs in Lexington yesterday, looks like 2 more very invasive surgeries coming up in the next few months, unavoidable,oh well will get through them. Remember those in need of prayers, sending some out for Scott and DD, Buff out!!
