45 today and thinking of getting myself a RCBS Chargemaster 1500 combo. $277 from Midway. Are they worth it and is this the best price available?

Didn't realize you were such a Pup, no wonder .... never mind.

I have a Lyman 1200 older model and I use it on larger case rounds, with a good accuracy node. It is vary consistent if you can go +/- .2. Smaller rounds I use a manual throw of one type or another, then weigh.

Buy at least 2 of them and maybe even throw in a new Cooper rifle to boot.

RCBS 1500 Combo

I purchased one of the units when they first came out. They were really
much faster than the older model (which I had used for several years).
Started using the new 1,500 and my shooting went to pot. Took me a
while, but started checking things and the 1,500 was varying the powder
charges as much as 1/2 grain. So, I called RCBS. They very cheerfully
sent me another unit (they had a new version that didn't have the problems
of the first 1,500's) free of charge. All I had to do was send them the old
unit, which I gladly did. After getting the replacement unit I am more than
satisfied with it. I understand that all of the later units are doing a good
job. They are somewhat slower (and needed to be) than the orginal early
models. I like mine, and if I didn't have one, I would certianly buy another.
RCBS does stand behind their products !

I got one for X-mas

I absolutely LOVE it...Wonderful machine. Cut my loading time by a third I would guess. really fun to watch as well.. BUY IT!!

Had The Same Problem As Don's

Mine was throwing inconsistent loads too so I sent it back and the one I have now is better however it doesn't want to return to zero sometimes when you replace the tray. All in all I like it. Take care and

GLOBAL WARMING at my shooting bench

here is a pic. from this evening..my bench top was cleaned of snow
yesterday about 5 pm.. and tonite the global warming outside thermometer
is at 6 below zero.. Eric
