Well... They SUCK BIG TIME!!!
LOL...best thing I've found out is buy the bulbs (LED) that has the
battery build in them. I think they run about $60 a bulb but it does
away with all the wires. And no ballast. All it takes is a hot and a nutural. It uses the hot going to the battery. It's usually a different circuit than the 1 to the regular bulbs. Stays not when the switch is off.

I hate them. Switch can be off, breaker off and the things will still bite you.

I guess every electrician hates those things. They sure do fill up the empty space in the fixture.The ones that were in our school system would burn the regular ballast up when they failed.
