Spent yesterday inventoring my reloading supplies & found hornady 75 & 87 gr & nosler 85gr bal tips. I have h4895, varget, h4350, & rl 15. What do you recommend.

Placed a reloading order with Midsouth & it looks like bullet prices have doubled. My 1st quarter projects are:

1.Get a good lighter 257 load for the classic in a Rimrock stock.

2. Get my 223 g2 contender carbine working.

3. Get my Lewis 300 win mag going.

4.kill 100 grows (10-15 days work)

Of those 3 powders......

Im thinking the Reloder 15. (especially with the lighter 75's). H4350 worked good for me under 85gr. Noslers, and so did Re-19. But it was too slow for the light bullets, and didnt really deliver much velocity, for all the pressure it creates.

If you buy one pound of any powder for your new load work, I would strongly advise you try W-748 with the light bullets only. It is too fast for the 85's. And almost too fast for the 75's. But it works great with 70's in my Rem 700, 24" bbl. (If you do buy some 748, be sure and use CCI 250 Magnum primers for good ignition. My load is right at 43.5 grains under the 70gr. Starke).

Enjoy the projects you have mapped out Tom, and Happy New Year to you.

(obviously, wont be too good a new year for some Crows ! :D
