Sllloooowwww week on the green page it seems.
Skruske gave Debra Dearest a load of firewood all split up and loaded in the truck for her Anniversary.
Judy Brown has a birthday coming up soon, so I Gave her a load of wood also. But. She has to chop it up or at least help.

Here she is in her "working girl" blue dress on some blocks of Oak all ready to chop up. She is wearing gloves but not her steel toe workboots.
This was a big log to work up but we got most of it done yesterday.

Very good job splitting that up JR! It's rare to see such consistent sizing in split wood. Very talented couple you are. ;) WD

Charlie, we traveled up to the flood house today to help Shelly move, split & stack wood. All the wood, blow downs in her yard from a storm in August, were cut into bolt already.

I showed DD & Shelly how to run the splitter while I stacked. Mike brought the wood to the slitter with the 4 wheeler & wagon.

I'm here to tell ya, those two got into a rhythm with the splitter and it was all I could do to keep up. I was glad when the splitter ran out of gas. :D

We filled her woodshed with 8 face cord in one afternoon.

Being an older city boy, wood means just two things to me: smoking or stroking. I did get some wood worked up yesterday afternoon and it took Miss Cindy no time at all to turn it into kindling. Ha! :D

Charlie, if you could even afford to hire Miss Judy and DD for a day, they'd kill you for sure.

That must've been softwood. Good hardwood will take a while to whittle down to kindling. Just sayin....
