Sight in days. father and son team showed up with a Kimber 84 M with Leupold 4 x 12. Nice rifle and scope. He had a box of Whitetail in 129 grain. Did not shoot well. I got about 4 inches at 100. He gave me the side eye and said his friend said it should be one hole all day. Well it wasn't. I asked what twist, he had no idea. He didn't t/t Kimber either. I doubt he read the instruction book. I gave him a rest set up and my spotting scope. He was at about 5 inches. I check all mounts and screws, stock and scope. All good.
I suggested he try something around 140 grain as that is what I shoot in my 6.5 Swede. He kept arguing but left for Wal Mart and came back. I was tied up with another shooter. He had some Federal Fusion in 139 or 140 and something Remington. He went to another shooter and gave him the 129 grain. Guess what? 4 inches @ 100.
I t/t to the other shooter later. The 140's did the trick. I guess the Kimber guy didn't want to deal with me any more. We talk, are polite and they do not listen. Too much testosterone is not a good thing. He was determined to use the 129's come hell or high water. By the way, I checked the Kimber site. The twist is 1:8.
Endless entertainment at public sight in days.
