68° here in Upstate NY this morning with the high temperature to get up to about 84°. It tis to be a beautiful and hot Labor Day today.

Yesterday was a very nice day also and after lunch I went up and checked the gun club and everything was fine. I was glad I didn't have to fix anything. This morning I am going "Up Home" fishing, I haven't been out in about a month and I am looking forward to it.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Morning

5:00 AM and its 73 going to 91 on this Labor Day. Not much happening around here this holiday except try to stay cool. My friend and I were discussing the possible idea of doing a PD trip in 2019. Hope it works out, I need something to look forward too. Be safe and Prayers to those and country. Mike

Good morning from Iowa Falls. 69 now, getting into the mid 80's. Rain is in the forecast. Was not supposed to but that changed. It's been raining all all week. Saturday nights Iowa State home game was called because of the heavy rain shortly after kick off.
Today is a great car show in town, hoping to see it and not get wet.

Clean up at Gary's is ongoing and hard work. I am exhausted every evening. Up side is I am sleeping well, right past Go Go Check in time.
I expect to be working on this for the remainder of the month.

Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

Mornin boys...
68 here high on RUGER MT this morning.
Well, Tucker turns 19 today.
Don't seem like it just a few days ago that he
was kicking my heels every step while we were hunting.
We planned to shoot some this morning and still might.
You all have a gooden today and GOD Bless...

Great morning folks,

70° with half clouds & half blue sky here near Halfway USA.

Rain is in the forecast. It's been raining all all week.
Ken
Ya, Ken your weather will get here in about 12 hours all all week too.

I repaired the 'lectric water tank cover. It needs to be replaced but I figured out a way to make it last just a little longer.

Humming birds have been busy emptying the feeders. Gold Finches are in fine color and those are taking great pleasure in de-seeding the flowers. Grass is growing like crazy.

The tumbers were running yesterday and this morning. I recall last year sorting & tumbling brass for several days. Well this year...all done sorting in just a few hours & tumbling will be done by this evening.

Looking forward to a visit from Mr.&Mrs Damncow farmer in a week or so. DD got a coupon for TJdamnMax so I am sure that is on the to do list.

morning all. 49 and damp out here. Finally got a little rain, haven't looked to see if the dust and bugs in the rain gauge are floating or not, probably not.
Running late again, slept in, last day for that as Gwyn will be at work by this time tomorrow.
Not sure what will take place today, I know of one sprinkler with a flat tire and other problems also. Hope nothing needs fixed on hay equipment.
Better get around, have a great Labor Day.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Good mornin folks. It's 71° here with bright sunshine. Slept in a bit, feels good. Except for my swolen leg. Dang bee sting itching like heck. I fixed them last night after dark. About a half pint of gas down the hole and nothing is buzzing this morning. I so wanted to light it. My granddaughter spent the afternoon and night with us and will be here today. Not sure what we'll get into. Maybe a BB gun lesson? She's nearly 7, I think it's about time.:)

Hey Mikey, I fired up the smoker yesterday. Tried a new burnt ends recipe Sue found. Instead of using brisket, you start with a simple chuck roast. Rub, smoke to 165, foil, smoke to 195, cut in cubes, throw into a pan with your favorite BBQ sauce and cook another 2 hrs or until tender. Took about 6 hours total and sure was good!

Well I need some more coffee. Enjoy your Labor Day!

Morning

Good morning y'all. It's 80 in Indy heading for 90. No golf today. Labor Day on the golf course is just like going to the shooting range the Sunday before muzzle loader season opens. Life threatening!

Came home from breakfast and the neighbor had his 2015 GMC (my F150 is also a 2015) sitting in the driveway with the hood up. He's retired from Chevrolet and I couldn't pass the chance to needle him so I asked if he needed jumper cables. He said "No, I got AAA on the way". Battery wasn't just down, it was down and out. Heard him talking to the AAA guy a few minutes later so I walked back over there, put my ear on the hood and said, "I think the POS is running". He suggested I might not be needed right there. Gotta' find your fun where you can!

Have a good day.

Happy birthday Tucker.

Sunny & warm this labor Day. One of my dogs was restless this morning and I finally gave up trying and got up a little before 6:00. I had thought I was going to sleep in a bit after watching baseball until after 11:00, but it was not to be. So, after the morning's reading and a pot of coffee, I ran the weed eater for an hour or so and then posted some business information on the computer. Still have some orders to get ready for tomorrow and then I intend to go have a beer with my son and let my wife visit with the newest grandson. On Friday during the UBR Nationals I got a VM informing me that we were losing my largest customer (Hardees) immediately. I can probably adjust, but my son will almost definitely need to find other work, so we're going to try and do some planning. Needless to say I was a little distracted this W/E, but that's not an excuse for shooting poorly. I have a whole host of other excuses for that. Some I haven't even used yet. I think today is supposed to be a holiday, but it doesn't seem like it.

G'day Y'all,
Rick

Good late morning, GoGo.It's gonna be a blazer today. It's already 78 and going to94. About the same tomorrow, I think. Summer will probably hang on hard, then we'll suddenly wake up with frost.

My big job for the day is unloading the car from the UBR Nationals. Dang front rest, rear rest and such are heavy, especially when you shoot lousy. Gotta clean the rifles, too, and hopefully get it done before it hits 94.

I'm planning to do a little smoking today, Charlie, but it'll be chicken thighs. You -- and I think Greyfox, too -- have been on me for years to smoke beef roasts, but I just haven't tried it yet. Do you think this burnt ends technique would work with a venison roast?

Well, I started this post about 9:30, but didn't send it. So now it's 12:09 and 92 degrees. Guess I'll be humping gear and cleaning rifles in the heat.

Y'all have a good'n.
