Saturday at the gunshop the topic of discussion was some overseas knock-off offs that had been sold on the internet to unsuspecting custormers as leupold scopes. Said scopes, on the outside appear to be normal, but when sent back to the factory for warranty work were determined to be fake. Can anyone substantiate the rumor?

I have seen some for sale on Ebay, they look like a Leupy MarkIV or whatever, from japan or china.... I would say...BUYER BEWARE.

There is a story going around of fake Leupolds being sold on Ebay, I personally don't know if that is true or not, but it is a fact that a lot of fake knock offs of good brands are being sold on Ebay, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if it's happening with Leupold.

Saw one on Ebay a few months ago. From Hong Kong. I've always had a firm Ebay rule do not trade on any SE Asia ads.
