Magazine modification

I have a Ruger 77/22 that was rechambered to K hornet. I know that Z hat will modify the magazine to feed the K hornet, but I am pretty sure that I can do the work - just some grinding and filing I think. However, if anyone has done this modification before and has any tips I would appreciate it.
