My Mom was diagnosed with lung cancer. Now found in a lymph node. She begins chemo and radiation therapy concurrently for 7 weeks in a few days. They don't want to do surgery 1st for fear of it spreading, but may do so after initial therapy. Continued prayers would be hugely appreciated

Markbo, there have been lots of advances in the treatment of cancers in the last 10 years. The specific type of lung cancer depends on which type treatments are used. Two of the most successful treatments are immunology, and those make the body's own system 'supercharge' the body to kill the cancerous cells. They are Opdivo and Keytruda.

Cancer is an sob.Hindsight is 20/20.If we had it to do over again I think my wife and I would have chosen surgery.Optivo did nothing for my wife except give us false hope.I’m not trying to be negative here,just suggesting to pursue all options and perhaps get another option on the best route to take.I wish we had known about the Keto diet as well,cancer loves glucose/sugar.God Bless,praying for the best outcome God has the power to heal!
