70° here in Upstate NY this morning, it is going to be another hot one today with the high temperature going up to 94°. I believe this will be the last of the really hot weather. We are supposed to get rain starting tonight and there is a chance of showers through Independence Day.

Yesterday was hot, we went to church in the morning and then in the afternoon we didn't do very much. I did one computer repair, it was a laptop that a lady had brought to me. It wouldn't startup and she was worried that it was gone. I was able to fix it for her so she was happy.

Today I don't care how hot it gets I am going up home and go fishing this morning.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Morning

A good Monday morning George and others to follow. Its 73 right now in NC Ohio going to 90 again, no complaints compared to fires and floods. My Prayers go out to all the people in harms way. Keep us posted Dean and J.C. of the fires. I need to finish the side boards on my 6 x 12 trailer, need to haul quite bit of top soil to fill 45 3x8 raised beds in the garden. Only way to go for an old fart that's round and low to the ground. Well the coffee is done and time to hit it while its cool. Prayers to those and country. Mike

Good morning from Ankeny Iowa, cool 63 now and 83 later with NO rain in the forecast for 3 days. The official record is 10 inches of rain here Sunday night. Saylorville lake is really high and rising.
Nothing on the agenda today. Maybe check out a few spots around the lake for picture opportunities.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

morning all. 44 now with mid 80s later. May get some showers later in the week, we sure need moisture!
Not as smokey out this morning, was bad yesterday, even in town, but it cleared out some in the afternoon. I stayed inside most of the day.
The wildfire has grown to over 53000 acres now, more homes gone and more in the path. Pray for the fire fighters and folks that have lost everything.
Not sure what I'll get into today, sure something probably broke around the farm yesterday.
Have a good day and be safe.
GOD BLESS. Dean

good morning folks. It's 75º already here in steamy south central PA. Going to 94º later they say, but I bet it's higher. Always is. It's July 4th week, and you know what that means? TOUR-ON season in Gettysburg. Big 155th anniversary of the Battle will draw folks from all over. Re-enactment Wed thru Sat. Just what I want to do...dress up in full WOOL and play Civil War in 100º temps. What's crazier, people pay to sit out and watch'em. No way. We plan to get outta Dodge, at least for the weekend.

Speaking of hot... It was really bad yesterday. I didn't get a lot done. I did get the fish vacuum packed yesterday morning and in the freezer. Then I put the mower deck back on the tractor. Was too dang hot to consider mowing though, so I took a short nap after lunch. About mid-afternoon, when the blazing sun got behind the trees, Miss Sue and I got the boat washed and fishing rods put away. She made country style ribs on the smoker. Yum.

Well, I guess I better get back to work. It is Monday after all. Check another off Mike. Have a good one.

Its going to be another steamy one in W Ky, into the high
90s.
I've seen temps in excess of 100 on 4th of July, but the
weirdest 4Th was when it was in the very low 70s for
the daytime high, and veeeeery cool that night for
the State Parks on the water fireworks display. I had
to break out my winter Jacket for Night Water patrol duty.

Good morning all.....At the shop this morning and it's humid and sticky already. I survived the weekend party....just barely...I woke up feeling ok Sunday but a hour later the headache started coming on. Probably a combination of extreme heat, beer and then red solo cups filled with Crown and Cokes.

There was 3 hogs cooked for pulled pork,27 loins, and a little over 100lbs. of chicken legs and wings cooked. The loins and the chicken were the shit....about 10 of us hovered around the chicken cooker sampling for quality before they were allowed in the building.

Yesterday made a trip to Cabela's and picked up a new shooting stick, a nice bipod style with heights marked on the legs and a swivel top and plenty wide for the heavier stocks if needed. I also picked up yet another brass catcher...I don't know how I loose so many of these things...got to be on the 3rd one.

I also picked up a nice camp cot...it might get used in the garage as well for those days when I'm not wanted in the house.

Everyone stay safe!

62 going to the low 80’s today.

The two main fires are still burning. One a a little over 14,000 acres, is about 70% controlled. The other is moving fast and is at 32,500 acres currently. Not much containment on this one yet. It is just over the hill from my bird hunting club. The smoke is very thick for many miles.

Update: The large fire grew to 44,500 acres overnight.

Have a good day and be careful out there.
