48° here in Upstate NY this morning, it is raining now and we are supposed to have rain all day. They say we may get 1" to 2" of rain today with a high temperature of about 60°.

Took life pretty easy yesterday as I know it will be a busy week once again this week.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Cloudy this morning but the rain has stopped for now. I’m sure glad I was able to get all my mowing done Friday afternoon because the rain came down in buckets all weekend.
Spent yesterday visiting with my parents and younger sister. Other than that, just stayed dry in the reloading dungeon. My son sent a picture of an advertisement from 1959. I sure don’t remember prices being that low.

Good Morning

59 and no rain in NC Ohio, after two and half days and four and half inches of rain. All this rain just as the dairy farm is ready to start silage harvest will make it a rough ride in and out of the homestead. Hope to get back to normal work after these domestic days!!! Be safe and Prayers to those and country. Mike

morning all. Highs in high 70s, maybe even 80. Starting out at 40 this morning.
Church yesterday morning then went out to lunch with Gwyns' sister, and brother and their spouses. Got home and decided I should check the hay instead of taking my nap.. Ended up baling for a couple hours then after fixing a flat tire on our Subaru, we went to our Sunday night prayer meeting.
Was a relaxing day even with the baling.
Should be a busy week if the weather holds out and the hay gets dry. May start draining sprinklers too.
Have a good one, even if it is Monday.
GOD BLESS. Dean

good morning gang. It's 57º here this morning. Yesterday's high was 56. Big change from what we've had. It rained all day and night yesterday and it's still putting it down. Supposed to rain most of the day today with T-storms later. Sure wish we could share some with you folks out west. Looks like the southeast NC/SC area are going to get slammed by Florence this week. And 2 other potential hurricanes behind her, it's going to be interesting for the next few weeks.

I didn't do much of anything yesterday. I spent a few hours tying fishing rigs for a Delaware trip in October. We fish for tautog in the rocks and you lose lots of hooks. I have 50 rigs tied up. That's a start. Just hope the weather cooperates this time.

Well, I guess I should get to work. Another Monday closer to retirement. Have a good one.

Great morning,

Trying to remain gray all day with 57° and an easterly breeze here near Halfway USA. May get a sprinkle throughout the day. Warming up tomorrow.

Much yard work got finished up yesterday. A bit more tree trimming - mostly dead stuff. DD did a bunch of thinning in her flower gardens.

I repaired my wood hauling wagon yesterday. I built it 20+ years ago & it need some attention. Back in good shape & ready for another 20.

I get to spend time in the barn today. A bit more work on the Glock 80%. Hopefully it will 95% by the time I put the file down.

Morning

Good morning all. It's a cloudy 58 in Indy heading for the low 70s. Looks like the east cost is taking a beating. My grandson is home on leave from the Coast Guard. He's assigned to the small boat station on Block Island, RI. It's in the storm's crosshairs. They train in that kind of weather. I'm sure he wishes he was back there.

No meeting of the antique softball players this morning but I did play a golf scramble yesterday. Misty rain all day and a good time was had by most-if-not-all. Indoors today!

Scott, is there a lot of hand fitting on a 80% Glock? I'm considering an 80% AR myself. I buddy has the necessary jig and the experience to walk me through that.

Have a good day, all.

No on the Glock 80%, if you follow the instructions exactly, you make a groove for the slide with a 5/64" end mill. I was not entirely confident I could set the depth exactly. I chose to set depth shallow with the intention of hand fitting. That went smoothly this morning. :D I used an ignition file and ran it for a 5-6 strokes, then tried the slide until I got it to work pretty close.

As for an 80% AR, they are not particularly difficult. Especially if you have someone with experience looking over your shoulder.

I do mine on a drill press with a cross vise. 5/16" end mills are helpful for smoothing the bottom of the fire control pocket. Also helpful is to have a finished lower to take comparison measurements.

As always measure twice (3 times in my case :D) and cut once.
