52° here in Upstate NY this morning, the high temperature is to get up to about 65° today. They say we have a 50% chance of rain for today later on.

Yesterday we went to church in the morning and after I had lunch I went and did a two hour computer repair. I don't normally work on Sunday but I do on occasion, this was for a business customer.

Today is our opening day for ruffed grouse and woodcock and I am going to be out there. Grouse hunting has always been a passion of mine since I started in 1958.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good morning. We'll, my wife changed the plan. We will be spending a couple of days relaxing in a campground near Dayton Iowa. Except it's raining hard, has been all night. Light rain yesterday has made it a muddy mess.
We are going home on Wednesday I think.
Spectacular thunder and lightning show at 2am scared the Tom cat.
Hope everyone has a blessed and dry day,
Ken

Great morning folks,

Damp, drizzle & rain and 47° with much of the same for the whole day here near Halfway USA. At least it's drifting southeast and we should get breaks in the rain at times.

Heading to the range shortly. Me & Pres are laying block for the new shooting benches. We will be under a roof so the rain won't matter. I do have to put the mortar and concrete bags back in the truck before leaving. I will certainly have to cover them for the trip.

DD is heading to her sister's across the state. She was given a fatal cancer diagnosis last December. Her time left is growing short. If you have a mind to, please say a prayer. She, her husband and two daughters will need them.

Good Morning

57 this morning in NC Ohio with sun today, rain tomorrow. Little bit of a pain typing this morning, was canning the last batch of tomatoes yesterday with a metal roasting pan in a 420 oven. For some reason I grabbed the handles with the mitt on the right hand and the left mitt under my arm -- it didn't take very long to think about it at that point!!! After five minutes of cold water and one fat aloe leaf sacrificed it doesn't feel to bad this morning. No blisters or severe pain that aloe works and has worked in the past. No need for me to say be safe ?? But I will offer Prayers to those and country. Mike

Monday

Good morning from Indy where it's 59 heading for 84. Leaving shortly for some pasture pool near Crawfordsville, IN, former home of Rebelgray. Love this time of year.

Great niece took a nice doe yesterday. Last day of the youth season. She's turning into quite the huntress.

Don't take long to test those temperatures, eh Mike?

Have a great day.

morning all. 46 here with high 70s later. Possible showers tomorrow, maybe some hay making dew today.
Boss man baled yesterday, I went to town for church and grocery shopping.
In the afternoon I serviced the balers so they are ready for today. Then worked on getting rust off the black powder rifle barrel, looking good so far, will need a new browing job though.
Have a good day, prayers for DDs' sister and family.
GOD BLESS. Dean

good morning folks. It's 56º here with sunshine, heat and humidity on the way. Supposed to get to the low 80's today. Of course it will...it's the first chance I'll have to get in a tree stand. Guess I'll swat bugs and sweat it out.

Busy day yesterday. I checked a couple archery stands in the morning, got my gear ready and washed my hunting clothes. I fixed all the skunk holes and push mowed the back yard. Went to start the tractor to finish mowing and nada. Swapped out batteries and even tried to jump it and still no go. Starter was HOT. Took it off and you can barely turn it. It's been giving me fits for 4-5 years now, time for a new one. Amazon will have one here in a few days. I did get the widow neighbor's mowed using her mower. Pulled the log splitter out and fired it up. My mom's neighbor wants to borrow it, so I was up early, dropped it off before work. Also had to let a cat out of the trap out back for the second time. It just won't learn. No sign of more skunks.

Well I better get busy. Need to do my timesheet and get to work. Have a good one.

Good morning, GoGo. It's 61 in Louisville, going to 84 today with a 50% chance of thunderstorms, in mid-afternoon.

Did a little woodworking project for my wife yesterday afternoon using some well-seasoned oak. Man, that wood is hard, hard, hard. Perfect for what I needed to do, but the cutting was kind of slow.

Charlie, let's check off another Monday. Going downtown today and Thursday, and then working from home Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. It's like magic when you can shut off your computer around 4:30 or 5 and INSTANTLY be at home. It's like a time machine or the Star Trek teleporter, for sure. Plus, when you work from home you can take what used to be called smoke breaks (remember those?), and do things like throw something for supper in the slow cooker, or throw a load of clothes in the washer. I definitely recommend it.

Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there.

Good Morning from the sticks of Kentucky where we find a good chance of rain in store for us today.
Yesterday it was Old Fashioned day at church and Judy Brown went as a 1950's teen ager. I think...whatever. I am ON VACATION as she is helping middle son Justin kid sit his son who is with him on Fall Break from school. I am unsupervised and might go to the Chief Doug Back to the Wall Pancake house cause I can do what I want to for a few days.

Actually, I suppose I will haul in firewood to finish filling the back porch for the rapidly approaching Winter. I sure dread feeding Damcows in wintertime, but some one has to do it. I bushogged yesterday to try to cut off the last of the weeds and trash grasses before winter turns everything brown. I think I smelled Charlies skunk around here last night; I don't need that, I have enough Coyotes and Foxes.
The Coyotes are on the Move in October getting ready to b ranch out and pair up with a mate. I need to get the snares out when I find the crossing places.

Charlie, if you bait with Apple slices, you will eliminate catching CATS in the live trap. Skunks and ***** love the sweet smelling apples and you won't waste a night by catching the neighbors cat. I am going to set the trap at Otis's house as I have another Bandit over there .

We pulled our camper to Townsend TN yesterday and set up w/o incident. Last time we went camping, I slipped a couple disks in the old back and had to cut that trip short due to pain/spasms. A friend had to come from home and break camp for us due to being down in the back. So far so good this trip.

I hope to finish waxing the TT while here (gives me something to do) and the weather is supposed to be highs in the low 80's with low chances for rain after today but we'll see if they are correct on that. Everyone have a good week.

Going to try to do some weedeating today without falling, did twice the last time I tried it. You all remember those in need ofprayer, Buff out!

JR, I had the same trouble with the neighbors cat. After three times in the trap I gave him a good long cold shower in the trap. I let him sit awhile and let him out. he left hissing at me all the way and moving like his butt was on fire. He never went near the trap again.

JR.... you married way over your station buddy! :D

Physical therapy is going great. I am walking like a normal person and sore every day from the exercising. But I need the re-strengthening to be able to get back to work. Hopefully only another 2 weeks or so.

She started off real sweet and work was light, but the hard I work the harder she pushes. Just like I need! :p
