42° here in Upstate NY which will be our high temperature for the day. It actually warmed up a little overnight. We have about a 30% chance of rain showers for today. The rest of the week it is to cool down.

Yesterday was fairly quiet and peaceful day. Today I will start off the week with a first thing appt. this morning. It will be a busy week, Wednesday evening we will have the election for the gun club officers for 2019. We have quite a bit on the agenda also, raffle drawing, new liability insurance for the club, etc.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Morning

Good morning George and others to follow. Its 40 here in NC Ohio with wind and clouds. Yesterday was the best, sun and 63 with mild winds. Well had three days without a fire in the greenhouse but that ends today. Time to smoke some chicken and wieners wrapped in bacon, before the cold winds start. Be safe and Prayers to those and country. Mike

Good morning everyone....at the shop by 6 this morning and left here last night about 6:30....hopefully I can get caught up soon. Couldn't get my key to open the door this morning so I had to use my door opener for the overhead....luckily I had it with me. Damn lock has given us fits before....it got shot of lube but no luck yet. Got a mudflap put back on the land clearing truck yesterday as well as finishing the stone box rebuild. Of coarse someone dropped off an enclosed trailer that needs half the floor supports replaced from rust.

Deer rifle season came and went and I made it out once. Muzzleloader comes in on Saturday I think and a buddy has a couple inlines and told me I could use one...i'm a rookie when it comes to smokepoles.

Maybe I'll be caught up enough to go...I still need to get out coyote hunting again as I haven't been in a little bit.

Well I'm off to see what this day will present...hope everyone has a good one and stays safe!

morning all. 16 here with low 30s for later. Think it snowed some during the night, haven't look out yet. Got snow most of the afternoon yesterday, but it didn't add up to much, maybe a inch or so.
Didn't do much after church yesterday, just hung out around the house.
Have to load six cattle trucks with calves today, hope the roads over the pass aren't too bad. Will be a busy day but then will quiet down some around here.
Have a great day, even if it is Monday.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Good morning folks. It's 49...degrees and mph winds here (seems like). It's really windy. Don't know where that came from. The rain predicted yesterday never came, other than a heavy, foggy drizzle. I took advantage of it and raked the whole back yard...and I hate raking. Everything's so wet I can't chop the leaves up with the mower. I wanted to get them all gathered up so they didn't kill my grass I've worked so hard to re-establish. I also worked on the 4 wheeler a bit and did some other chores.

I reckon I did my good deed for the year too. My ole widow neighbor is in SC with her daughter. She's slowing down a bit at 82, so they took her there a few weeks ago so they could help care for her. She is supposed to be home for Christmas, and not sure what they're doing after that. Maybe a home or move her in with another daughter? I figured this might just be her last Christmas in her own house, so I had the bright idea to hang Christmas lights on her house. Miss Sue and I rooted thru old stuff and found several strands of icicle lights so we went down and put them up. Need to pick up a timer so they come on automatically. Hope this gets me on the "NICE" list for Santa.

Shane, you could always take a centerfire and a bottle of baby powder. My boss at the store (RIP) used to hunt from a box blind with a 300 WM. When he'd shoot, he'd grab the baby powder and puff a big cloud out the window. :D We've got one more week of rifle here. Taking mom out tonight after work. See how that goes.

Have a good one.

Good morning, GoGo. It's 43 in Louisville and that's also the high. Yesterday it got up to 59 and was windy, gusts to 45mph. Probably the same front that Charlie's getting this morning.

Cindy's boy, Scott, is still having battery trouble. Starts sometimes, not others. AutoZone checked out both the battery and alternator and said they showed good. We did have to rebuild one battery clamp and the new one we put on wasn't making 100% solid contact with the post. So, yesterday I took a piece of .223 brass, cut it apart with my Dremel, and pounded it out to make a shim. Put that around the post and slapped the clamp back on. We'll see whether that helps or hurts. The shim makes the whole deal tighter, but it also means more surfaces for corrosion to attack. Little by little I think the boy's learning because yesterday he checked the oil while we had the hood up and he was about a quart low. Even little signs like that give me hope. His upbringing was just so different from mine in that he didn''t have a dad around to teach him the thousands of repair tips that my dad taught me. It's hard for me to be understanding of that sometimes.

Charlie, check off another Monday. I'm going downtown today and Wednesday (blood drive at my building). Will probably work from home the other three.

Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there.

late check in gang, rough nite last night, legs were having muscle spasms, cramping so bad in my right leg my heel was touching my butt at one point! I had to take 3 muscle relaxers to get it to finally stop. Oh well, no issues this morning, getting some deer burger out to make Glomky's, a cabbage roll stuffed with sausage/deer/rice combo, fill a dutch oven, and cover with a garlic tomato sauce, bake for about 2 hours, and some fried potatoes, UMMMM, good! And everything I am making the dishes with came off the farm or the woods, except for the rice! I am going to see a medical service about getting a transport wheelchair for doc appointment's and such. You all have a good one, remember those in need of prayer, Buff out!

Barely morning

It's still morning so good morning. In 3 minutes it will be good afternoon. I have to go visit a new gun shop. I don't know how this happened without me knowing about it but a new shop opened recently about a mile and a half from here. I feel duty-bound to check 'em out.

Have a good'n.
