25° here in Upstate NY this morning under cloudy skies, the high for today is to get up to about 39°. We are to get rain tonight and into tomorrow.

I will be back on the road part of today after a peaceful day yesterday. Can't complain if I can get a relaxing day sometimes.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

40degrees with rain here right now. It has actually dropped a couple degrees since I got up this morning. They say we’re getting up to 60 today.spent nearly all day in front of the reloading bench yesterday lots of range brass got sorted and prepped. No big plans for the New Year so a lot of that brass will probably get loaded, later tonight.
The only time I took a break was to cut and split some firewood I had unloaded last week. It was nice to be outside in late December without a coat.

Back to work today. Most folks are on vacation so it should be pretty quiet around here.

Make it a good day

morning all. Ending the year with 1 degree, wind chill around -5. High for today might be 20. Got to 25 yesterday, was sunny all day though. Snow for today, real good chance anyway.
Not real sure what will happen today except chores, this chopping ice every morning is getting old already but damcows need water, lots of water even when it's cold.
Gwyn still not feeling well but going to work anyway, just no one else to keep things going around her office.
Time to move along, have a happy new years eve and be safe out there, will be lots of crazies on the road.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Got my new Sig scope on the creedmoor yesterday but haven't shot it yet, lots finer cross hair than the Nikon was. :D

Good Morning from Bartonville Texas, 32 degrees with rain. 61 for the high. I need to run electric wires and hang lights in the car port. We are leaving for Trinity tomorrow as snow is forecast Wednesday and Thursday. It does not take much snow to make the roads slick here and pulling the RV is out.

Yesterday was a down day, chilly and everyone rested, watched the preacher on tv.
It's the end of 2018 and I am not sad to see it gone.

Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

Great morning to end 2018,

29°, cloud cover & a little breeze here near Halfway USA. Most of the rain will stay in Indiana & Ohio before getting Charlies socks wet in Pennsylvania.

Actual quality time was spent at the reloading bench yesterday. I started out with .223 this year. I should have it sized in a couple days. That way I can take 4-5 buckets along on our Winter excursion. If we stop at a place with power I can trim brass with the Giraud.

Not certain what path this year's exodus to warmth will be but hopefully we'll end up somewhere near Yuma.

Heading to my old hunting partner's place today for a visit. I have to pick up a copy of his DD214 to add to the file with his will & power of atty papers. I'll probably take the ******* Limo and haul some firewood too.

Good morning, GoGo. It's 50 in Louisville, raining and going up to 68 later today. We're supposed to have storms and really high winds from 10 a.m. through sundown.

Thanks for asking about my traveling daughter and granddaughter, Mike (MPC). I talked to them about a half-hour ago. They got away from home just north of Houston around 5:30 a.m. It's a 14-16 hour drive, depending on stops.

I want to wish a happy new year to all my Green Board buddies. Individually we've had ups and downs this year, and it's nice to have a place to go where you feel like you're understood and can get some support. Let's hope 2019 brings us many more smiles than tears, and more "best of times" either way.

Have a good'n and be safe out there.

Good Monday morning everyone....been at the shop a while just now getting around to posting. Getting stuff on the truck to go to the hog barns shortly to fix feeders. Still raining here and gloomy and probably will be all day.
I got about half a coffee can of .223 brass sized the yesterday after I worked a bit. I started out to go hunting and got halfway back to where I was goona set up and someone not very far away started shooting.....not sure if they was squirrel hunting or just target shooting but it pretty much shot my set up.

Will probably just stay home tonight and watch movies or tinker in the garage. I know if I go to a party I will drink and I will feel bad the next morning!

Hope everyone has a good day and a safe New Years Eve!

GOOD morning from the Rainy sticks of Kentucky where we have 54 degrees to start the day. Dean, there ain't no Ice Chopping going on here and I don't want to get into that right now,.
I am ON VACATION,, so i dont need to do much work. Sounds like Skruske is planning on reloading ammo on his winter vacation; maybe Girl Watching would be more fun....but he Did turn the big 60.

Yesterday I climbed on the roof of my house and cleaned the chimney. I usually give it a mid winter cleaning on a warm day and it was in the 60s yesterday. I got the oil and filter changed in the Geo Metro wile it was warm also, it had been several months since I had been under the car.
Today I have no plans except to celebrate the New Year with my Orange Tomcats and stay out of trouble.
Off to feed the Damcows, y'all be safe bring in the new year.

Good Morning

It was a long day yesterday. We flew into Phoenix a couple of days ago just to explore Az. We went to Wickenburg, Sedona, Prescott, Flagstaff. Well at that point I just had to drive another hour to Winslow.:D Yep I did get a picture of course standing on the corner, but it will not up load for some reason. I’ll try later. Skruske we are driving down to Yuma today. My wife’s brother and wife are there for the winter. It didn’t sink in till I drove by in the dark last night that the Ben Avery range is here! I saw a big sign Saturday that said Nightforce but was watching the road so it never really registered. Guess where I am going tomorrow.:)

Morning folks from a duck blind on the Eastern Shore of MD. Cloudy with rain later. Could use some now. Ducks don't like nice weather. Give it a few hours yet and head west. Had a nice party for my bud last night and yes Shane, I feel like $hit. Last of the carbs for awhile, I'm gonna have to switch to dewshines. Going on a diet first the first of the year. Need to get my sugar and weight down.

Ha e a good one.

Good luck on the sugar reduction I haven't had a Mt. Dew in probably 2 months maybe. I'll drink a Coke now and then when out to eat.

Last party I went to the was at least a gallon of Crown Royal there to start and none left at the end and it's usually that way everytime….2 or 3 drinks aint too bad but they tend to get stronger as you go and you loose count quick. When you realize you had too much you probably should have stopped 2-3 drinks earlier.:D

Gabriel, there are lots of nice ranges in AZ. I used to go to Rio Salado Sportsman's Club when we went to visit my MIL years ago. Not as big as Ben Avery, but it was lots closer from her location. See the link:

https://www.rsscaz.com/

Also, there are tons of gun shops in the area. Before we had smartphones there were dozens of decent shops in the yellow pages. Now just Google the ranges and gun shops.

Afternoon

Good afternoon all. It's raining and 51 in Indy and looks like it's gonna' keep on raining. Not going anywhere to celebrate the New Year tonight. Seems counter productive for an old guy to celebrate the passing of another year and, besides, the roads will be full of young guys out to prove they can drink more than they did the last time they were arrested. In the words of Heather Land, "I ain't doin' it".

Wishing everybody a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2019.
