43° here in Upstate NY this morning, the high temperature will be up to about 50° today. We have a chance of showers tonight and it looks to be fairly warm for the week.

It looks to be shaping up to be a busy week again this week. Yesterday after church I didn't do a heck of a lot just loaf.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Morning from Bartonville where it's 61 now and headed for 80 with lots of sunshine. I need to spend as much outdoors as possible today, soaking up the sun. On the list is a nearby wildlife preserve and bird photography.

Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

morning all. 33 to start and mid 40s again later. Storm missed us again!
Ended up not going to church and town yesterday, by the time I got chores done, I was done. Stomach not feeling good at all, took it east most of the day, helped Gwyn work on taxes some. Later got out to the workshop and cleaned my 22-250 and worked on some brass, ready to tumble.
See how I feel today, but lots of shop work for the farm needs started.
Have a great day and be safe out there.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Great morning folks,

Partly cloudy with 54° to start off but with should finish off closer to 69° here in the trailerhood. There seems to be a general concern that highs for the week won't be in the 70° range.

DD & I wandered about at a nearby flea market in the morning yesterday. I picked up a few tools. Curious cultural difference was noted here in the southwest. Folks were pushing dogs around in strollers while they had their kids on leashes. :D

Some friends of Mike & Dorla arrived yesterday. They are Alaska residents who winter near Mesa AZ. They are joining us on a ride & hike today. We are going up into the mountains to do some exploring and prospecting. Mineral deposits of all sorts are common around here.

Galena ore contains lead and silver & I would like to find a sample large enough to refine into a few bullets. Gold & copper are around as well. I've already found plenty of brass too.

morning folks. It's 35º here with sunshine. Going to be a beautiful day. I should have slept a little longer and called in sick, but I had to do my timesheet if I want paid this week. Had a nice hunt yesterday but didn't get anyting. I spent the afternoon smoking deer hind quarters and chicken thighs while I re-caulked the logs in the bedroom. Glad I picked up a can of spray foam. Had spots where I could see right thru to the outside. I guarantee it won't be drafty there now!

Back to work Monday. Didn't watch the game, don't care. Still holding about 9 lbs fat loss. Feel a bit better overall. I wasn't huffing and puffing on the walkabout yesterday. You know with this high elevation here (+/- 400 feet) the air's pretty thick. :p

Well I better get moving. Have a good one! Prayers sent Sam!

Charlie

PS - Scott, I graduated with a Geology degree. Was a day I could have told you what everything is out there, but that ship has sailed. Find yourself the mother load!

Good morning, GoGo. It's 48 in Louisville, going to 62 with rain starting around noon. Warm and wet for about the next 10 days. Should be great for the mud farmers.

Visited my mom in West Kentucky this weekend. On the way home we stopped and had lunch with a couple who've been close friends of mine since college. As several have noted here, really good friends become more and more valuable as you age.

Charlie, check off another Monday for ol' Mikey. I'm going downtown today and tomorrow, then will likely work from home the rest of the week. I don't know what I'll bitch and moan about when Mondays are no longer work days, but I'm sure something will fill that vacuum. :)

Miss Cindy is thinking about taking her mom on a little vacation and using one of those el cheapo airlines, like Alliant or Allegiant, something like that. She found some flights to Florida for something like $50 per person per flight, so $100 round trip. Great price, but then they also charge $30 per checked bag ... each way! That's still cheaper than the major airlines, I guess. If any of you have experience -- good or bad -- with the discount airlines, I'd love to hear your tips and warnings.

Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there.

Mike, just went thru that myself with Allegiant...we're headed to Savannah in 3 weeks with another couple. Cheap flight prices, but they nickel and dime you with seat choice fees and checked bag fees. BUT, it did end up less than half the price of Southwest. Spirit Air, Frontier, they're all the same.

Good morning everyone....back in the shop today after a weekend off of chasing coyotes around.....well trying anyway. Friday night was our best night as we score one on our first set with one more sneaking off then on the second set I dropped one as well..... after that it dried up. We seen a road dog but could not get anywhere off the road to pop it. Then we were calling and spotted one off in the distance checking out the sound of the call but had no desire to come any closer. he moved out a little farther so I send a hail mary shot at it and missed about 400 yards. We rolled into check in with our 2 30lb or so females and walked out with all the money.....nobody else brought one in.

I told my buddy we should have just called it a weekend after Friday night and saved a ton of gas and got some sleep.

Oh well it was fun and gives you motivation to get out and hit it hard.

Got some parts to get on this morning and dump truck to start cutting on.....you all have a good day!

Morning

Late Monday morning. It's 49 in Indy heading for upper 50s. Maybe some rain shortly. A gal Julie works out with gave her some 9mm brass yesterday while they were doing their post-workout hen gab at Starbucks. I need 9mm brass like I need another hole in my head but I had some that needed tumbling so I let it run all night and just took it out a while ago. Probably got 5K pieces in various stages of prep. I'll probably need to put some in my will cause I'll never get to it. I've asked Julie to stop bringing it home when she shoots but she just ain't wired that way. At least I've got room to get to the tumbler now.

Mikey, we've got friends who own a condo in Sarasota. They fly Allegiant often down there. He flies to Europe and South America for work on some of the more expensive airlines and has not complained about Allegiant.

Have a good day y'all.

Sitting a 60* + on the south shore of Lake Erie. Lake is 80% frozen and the ice fisherman are on the bay, well for a while. The ice gets soft in a hurry at 60*. Sure as shootin' someone will go through. News at 11, as they say.

Doug, get Julie a Dillon for Valentines day and set her to work. That should endear you to her for a long time. (after you are done sleeping on the couch, you can both have a good laugh. )

Mike I have flown Allegiant from Punta Gorda to Lexington a number of times. They cancelled a flight one time until next day and gave both of us a fifty dollar voucher for next trip. Good for a year. They use smaller airports which can be a real plus this time of year, especially here in florida. Hope this helps.

Allegiant does use smaller airports near large very busy airports (like ORD and PHX) and has a lot of 'one off' flights for large conventions or special events occasions. You have to be watching their websites to find the best deals.
