26° here in Upstate NY this morning with the wind howling, Steady at 22mph with gusts to 45mph. Been this way all night and it will continue throughout the day. They have been worried about power outages but so far we have been ok. The high for today will only get up to about 27°. I will be busy today on the road and I don't really look forward to that.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good morning everyone. Nice and cool this morning at about 20°. The wind finally laid down some this morning. Well we won this contest with one coyote, not too big just under 40 lb male. We only called in one pair and they wouldn't commit and they one we did kill was there when we rolled in and made the mistake of stopping to see what was barking at him.

More cable drums to build this week, these are for the trailers you see power companies use when pulling new power lines or any other cable jobs. I think we have to build 24 for now but 48 total for the year.

The guy that has put on the last few small contests does cerakote as well so I may take him my AR barrel and my Rem700 action to get done up.

Hope everyone has a good day and stays safe!

morning all. 10 now with a high of maybe 38. Was nice yesterday but high clouds kept any sun out.
Did get a short nap in yesterday then just did nothing except check cows. Had to haul off a calf that died when born during the cold night. Put it out south of my house for bait, hope to whack a yote there after while :)
Probably work in the shop after chores are done, need to finish up the blue loader project and get on to something else.
Better get to breakfast, have a good day and be warm and safe.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Good Morning from frozen Waseca. 4 below now, high of 3 above. Wind is still blowing about 11-12. Sheriff just sent out an emergency notice that the roads are 100% drifted closed, no travel till 10am. All roads in the south part of the state were closed yesterday because of the wind and snow.
I am still snowed in, there is a 5ft city plow created drift across my driveway.

Going to be taking it easy again today.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

Good Morning

18 here in NC Ohio going to 30 with sunshine and a lot less wind. I need to get out and survey the ponderosa for any wind damage. Hope everyone survived without damage the last couple days. I have a friend Tim, going thru back surgery today and sure could use a little Prayer for him. Be safe and special Prayer for Tim and those in need and this country. Mike

Great morning folks,

Mostly clear, 45° with 70° or so later out here in the dirt & rocks.

We had a pretty nice day yesterday. Deb & caught up on chores. Water was gathered from good source. I changed some batteries in the big doub!ewide. Got the heat working in the truck. I don't know if I fixed anything but it's making heat. I suspect an electric plug but not sure so the problem will likely return.

We will be headed to town today. Deb needs to visit a chiropractor to twist her hip around.

Mike, Dorla and us will recon the next camping spot about 20 miles away. It offers more trails to explore but set up for the 5th wheels might require a little creativity.

Good morning from Hilton Head, SC. Sunny 48 here heading for mid 60s. Tourists from the north are easy to spot down here. They’re the ones not bundled up in heavy coats, hats, and gloves when the temp hits 45. Light breeze should help keep the bugs at bay. “No-see-ums” they call ‘em. The little buggers seem to like me.

Got rained on a bit yesterday but it only delayed us about 10-15 minutes. None expected today.

Have a great day.

good morning from back home in PA folks. It's about 30 here, both degrees and mile per hour. Sounds like a freight train outside of my house all night but only some limbs down that I noticed so far. Got home about 10 PM last night. Was a bit of a delay at the airport. Our plane was coming from Baltimore and never left. They sent a plane up from FL to get us to Balt. then picked up the stranded Balt. folks and brought them back to Savannah. We had about a half hour delay...those folks were going on 5 hours.

We fiddle farted around downtown yesterday a bit before heading to the airport. Found a nice daiquiri bar and had a really good cheeseburger and a couple drinks. My diet certainly went out the window this weekend and I put on a few pounds, but not too bad. I'm back on it now, should come back off again I hope.

Back at work this morning...better get busy. Prayers offered. Watch those gators Doug! Have a good one.

Good morning from the sticks of Kentucky where we are at a bright and sunny 32° going to about 50 today. No ice or frost and water still running everywhere, i live on a hill but a lot of folks are flooded out in the state.
Shane, looks like you done killed all the Coyotes up there. Someone left this one tied up to my fence yesterday.

Neighbor had some baby calves and this dog tried to crawl under the fence to try to get one.
Nothing on the plan for today but feed Damcows and wait for the fields to dry up a bit.
Wheres Skruske? Maybe he got caught with a scary black rifle in California. Oh. There he is posting while I was writing, still working on broken toys no matter where he is. Good fella to have around.
Dean, my cows are out sunning right now and looks like they are enjoying it. No ice to chop, but i have done it in the past. Headed to Otis the Kats house to let him roam around, and feed his cows.

Good morning, GoGo. It's a frosty 26 in Louisville, going to 44 and sunny. The sun will be so nice that I don't even care about the cold. The high wind shifted during the night over toward MPC and Charlie. As Charlie said, it sounded like a freight train for better than 24 hours.

My team at work is in charge of a big annual training event that starts tomorrow. I'm working from home today, but will be downtown at least Tue-Thurs. It sure is nice to be able to work from home, especially on a Monday. :D

Got about 100 rounds of 6BR loaded with LT-32 last night. Seated the bullets about 40 thou long and will bump them to final length just before the BBB. At least that's the current plan. Really need to make a range visit before then.

Glad you made it home OK, Charlie. Happy you got some sand between your toes, even if the fishing wasn't good. At least you didn't shovel or push a single flake of snow down there, right? You know that a bunch of us on the board go off on PD Safaris pretty regular. Maybe those of us who fish should try something similar, only chasing fish varmints.

Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there.

Good morning

25 and only getting to 37 today.
Caught another raccoon yesterday morning and got a bunch of firewood split.
Before going to bed last night I shined a light into the woods and saw a pair of eyes staring back. I figured it was another raccoon but when I got down there, I found this guy. We see them fairly often but this is the first time I ever caught one. It was in a dogproof trap too. I was able to put a piece of plywood between me and him and release the trap. He actually laid there for a few seconds before he realized he was free to go.

Jr we sure haven't killed them all that's for sure! I think they have just been educated lately. The big contest a few weeks ago I didn't get in on had 49 teams. I told some guy to hunt my spots and they called in about 4 and missed every one of them. We are going to have to change tactics on them I think. That coyote don't look very happy to see you it seems!

Carl that is a nice looking fox. We were seeing a lot of them around but not for the last year or so. There were 2 or 3 drain culverts under the roads we were seeing kits running around in. I give them a pass. I was wanting one mounted but just never pulled the trigger on the few I had in my sights.

Good Morning to all you boardlings from up here on a vast white prairie. -16 degrees with 20 mph winds with a bad -40 below wind chill. Visability is a total whiteout. All the roads and some highways are closed.
Had some company come last night and stayed overnight. They are neighbors who live about 6 miles away from us. They were trying to get home from a weekend away for the girls basketball tournament, but got their truck stuck in a big drift on the county road. They called my son at around 7:30 to see if he could come with the front end loader and get him out. They were about a mile and half away from us and he made it over there and he had some 4 foot drifts on the road to go though to get there. My son suggested they come back to the farm with him because it was to dangerous to try to continue home, they agreed because they decided they had enough. On the way back to the farm the road had already drifted in pretty good in just a little over an hour. They were conviced they made the right decision.
I live alone in a 4 bedroom house, so I have plenty room for 4 of them. Mom and dad and a teenage son and daughter. They will stay today and it’s pretty iffy that the snow plows will be through today. The white out conditions are still on us yet. The blizzard is supposed to stop late today. They will go home when the roads open up. The kids are glad because school is closed.
There is a plus side to this because the mother and daughter volunteers to make pancakes for breakfast, and I don’t have to eat breakfast alone. Lots of good conversation this morning and plenty of laughs. The kids are setting up the monopoly game, so that will be entertaining for us.
I hope all of you are staying safe and warm today, God Bless
