57° and it sure feels comfortable outside. I took a day off from work yesterday and took delivery of the new Kioti subcompact tractor.
Wheel Sky Tire Vehicle Cloud

Mowed some grass, smoothed some gravel, scooped up a big pile of ashes and dumped them in the woods. I also moved some large rocks that were uncovered when I cleared off the hillside last month. I think it’s really going to come in handy moving firewood but it’s primary job will be mowing grass. Even my little sister took it for a ride around Mom’s house.

The new tractor was good news but the BIG news was when Mom called to tell me she had cooked sauerkraut for supper.

All in all, it was a good day. Back to work for now. Be careful and stay out of the way of half-drunk tire repairmen.

50° here in Upstate NY this morning under clear skies, the high temperature for today will be up to about 74°. It will be a sunny day with a 6 to 8mph wind and a 30% chance for showers and thunderstorms later in the day.

Had a customer's computer here at the house I to fix yesterday, it was quite messed up, but I got it fixed. Sometimes customers are their own worst enemy when it comes to computers. loaded a box of 6mm's and a box of 243 ammo yesterday afternoon both with Speer 75 HP"s and IMR 4064 to test. This morning I have to be on the road for most of the morning probably.

Prayers are sent for all that need them.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Morning from SC PA!

Today we're starting at 56 heading for a high of 78 degrees. Should be sunny and beautiful this morning with increasing clouds in the afternoon.

Our Boy Scout Troop will be replacing flags on veteran's graves on our last cemetery today. We'll start a little early because this is a big one with a long list. It's an old church with graves going back all the way to the Revolution. Hope we can find them all. Some of the headstones are so weathered you can barely read them!

I didn't do much yesterday. Went to the range and sighted in my old Savage/Anschutz model 164 Sporter, and shot my Taurus model 94 at the pistol range. Weather was pleasant and it was fun. I got home and my landlady said she was reading on the porch and a groundhog walked right up on the porch beside her and then continued into the backyard. She was quietly reading and didn't make a sound as he walked by her. She could have kicked him! Anyway, I'll keep a lookout for him. She also got a new burn barrel and asked me to shoot holes in it to let air in. I used the Taurus TX 22 with the suppressor. You could barely hear the gun and then a big loud "WHAM!!" as the bullet penetrated the steel barrel. I put a magazine through it and then 4 or 5 in the bottom so water can drain out. After that I threw some sticks from the yard in the fire pit and used them to cook brats. I nice relaxing day overall. Today it's back to work! Make it a great day everybody!

Great morning folks,

51° with a hazy sky here near HalfwayUSA. 80° is predicted for our high today.

Debra Dearest & I got a whole lot done yesterday. She had errands to catch up to & I had estate stuff to handle.
I wrote checks to heirs & after dinner hand delivered them to 4 of the 8 that are somewhat local. I will have to rely on the post office to deliver the others.

I got our yard work caught up in the afternoon. Set traps for a mole that made it's presence known. The truck is ready for it's next round trip to Florida.

More small tasks to get done today to include a cargo trailer from "Uncle Mike" who graciously volunteered it so Zac could move stuff from FL to MI.

Good morning all. Haven’t checked the weather but it looks like a good day to be getting home. Leaving the wilds of Davenport, IA shortly and should land in Indy early afternoon. Unloading, unpacking, gun cleaning, and truck washing ahead.

Nice motor-toy Carl. Wish I had room to turn one of them around.

“East bound and down”. Have a good day.

Carl...looks like you picked a good one. Neighbor has one about that size, Kubota. It has the skinny tractor wheels that are taller, about 36" or so. It's the tippiest damn thing I've ever seen. I borrowed it ONCE, almost rolled it. Never again. Well maybe. LOL I should have bought a tractor several years ago, but my neighbors always had one they were willing to lend me.

Oh, and your pic...couple things wrong. Up here it's jelly or molasses on white bread, not corn bread. We need to have peas instead of the other veggies and apple sauce goes ON the kraut. Oh, and my mom has the same plate set (big one) and I have the smaller set. Good ole Corelle.

morning all. 35 again and on the way to low 70s with a very slight chance of moisture somewhere in the valley, sure it won't be on us, still DRY.
Worked on the new sprinkler most of the day yesterday, tried to find the problem for a couple hours myself and finally called the place that set it up.
Turns out the new system uses 24 volt where our old ones use 120 volt to control the booster pump for water. Their tech guy had problems getting it going too.
Then had to send out another guy to replace the parts that he smoked by putting 120v into their system!
Not sure what I'll get into today yet but better get around, Gwyn is working at home today so we got to sleep in.
Be safe out there and prayers for those with health issues and traveling.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Good morning all you varmints. It's same as EC here, nice day ahead, but dry. Not even much humidity yet. We could use some rain, maybe tomorrow? My grass went from "I can't keep up with mowing it" to "dang it's turning brown already" in a week. The big storm that hit Sat. night was a dud, only had a little shower for about an hour. I'm afraid it's going to be a long, hot summer. After work last night I threw a barrel on the back of the 4 wheeler and got to watering all the trees/shrubs I planted this year. They're doing mostly well, lost a few, but some looked a little withered when I got them. Overall, not too bad, just need water for now, until they get established. I'm sure glad I checked my calendar yesterday morning when I got into work. I had a site meeting at 9:30 and that kept me out in the field until after lunch time. We walked a 2.5 mile long gas project, back and forth. I got my steps in for sure. Speaking of work...I better get to it!

Prayers sent. Have a good one!

Charlie

Mornin’ boys. Sitting in a doctor’s office as Cindy gets a new lens in her left eye. Cataract. Please say a prayer that it goes smoothly and she isn’t too uncomfortable. More later, when we get home.

UPDATE:
Well, we arrived at the surgery center at 6:15 and were driving away at 8:15. Same place I had both my cataract procedures and it runs like a dang Henry Ford factory, only with friendly, smiling employees. Cindy said the employees and atmosphere were the same as when I was there. There's no lollygagging around, no one standing around typing a text message on their iPhone. And the employees actually seem to like their jobs and one another. Thanks for your prayers this morning.

Morning Everyone!

Its 66º and partly cloudy here headed for the low 80's with a lite SSE wind.

Didn't do much yesterday after being up most of the night before. A SIL and BIL came by yesterday and picked up a suitcase of things that the Wife wanted. She called yesterday afternoon and She sounded better. Still doing test.

I started the day off getting the trash gathered up and taken out and feeding the Cat. I got to get out and run by the tire store and take the Wife one bottle of meds that She forgot about. Me and the Cat plan to nap this afternoon!

Prayers offered for those in need and for our Country. Special prayers for Miss Cindy.

Y'all have a good one.

Good morning Rapid City. Tough day yesterday and we slept in .I was tired yesterday and my Google football lady was really having an off day. We stressed her out driving the back roads of Eastern Wyoming. She finally got us to Mount Rushmore but all parties were stressed by then.
Nothing planned today except to stop at Wall drug, the wife wants to. We are staying off the interstate and taking Hwy 14 a cross SD and MN, it leads right to our house. The Google lady can have a rest.
I have not seen Mount Rushmore in 51 years, it was nice to visit and relaxing.
Hope everyone has a great Tuesday,
Ken

GM from the sticks of Kentucky and it is going to be Sunny and 82° today.
Just dreading getting started today. First thing is replace some broken rake teeth from last year, then Fluff Hay in hopes I might get to Ball up some tomorrow. Sledgehammer Rick came over and worked his magic on the Hay Bailer and pronounced it "Ready." Maybe?
@CarlP That is a nice tractor and will be really useful. Now you "Need" to buy the Backhoe attachment. Just Cause.
@Ken Is having a great trip it sure would be nice to do that.

Have a safe day folks and if anyone runs out of "Things to Do" come on down and I will find a tractor for you to drive today.

Morning all. Just running very late and the sleeping in felt really good. No big plans for the day, just the usual. Tomorrow is a visit to the oncologist and labs. And probably get another anemia shot. Missing a week because of COVID sure makes a difference. Darn near time for lunch, so my PT will have to wait til after then. Be safe.

Good afternoon everyone...nice and hot here now. I got up and loaded some stuff in the truck to bring to the shop to get loaded into the trailer. Brought my dog along because she wanted to go and then she upchucked in my floor. Got that mess cleaned up and made another round trip back home and to the shop again. Made a new top for my little fold up shooting bench then flipped it upright and I messed up and made it for a righthand shooter....took legs back.off and screwed them on the proper side.
I forgot to post this pic yesterday of a turkey that been running around. There was 2 of them.
Plant Bird Phasianidae Beak Wild turkey

They walked within 20 foot of the building and never paid any attention to us.
Well back at packing and arranging things in the trailer.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Afternoon all, 77 here headed to 79 they say. I tried posting this morning no luck. I was on the phone yesterday for 2 hours and 45 minutes and another 2 hours today, with Social Security, tracking down moms check that got lost in the mail. Got passed around to several different folks both days, guy who was supposedly helping me yesterday, was supposed to call back this am, did not. I called them back and asked to speak with him, cant he is running the switchboard/help desk today. Finally got his supervisor, who asked me why she was getting a check in the mail, I told her I had signed her up for direct deposit twice, and the 2nd time when mom recieved her check, they sent me a letter telling me to not bother them any more. Still had the letter when the woman told me they did not do that, I gave her the info and all she said was HMM, Well. Hopefully got it fixed, they are sending her another check out and have put a cancel on the one she did not recieve. They told me I would get this one and Junes, but July would be deposited electronically. Anyone want to put odds on it. This type of stuff wears my head out, and makes me feel like I am about to have another stroke, hopefully not. Prayers for miss Cindy and anyone else needing them, Buff out.

@koger Isn't Affirmative Action wonderful.
When I started at the U S Post office, it was geared to Hire veterans and Responsible people that they thoroughly checked out and were sure they were Honest.
Then. Someone decided they needed to hire mostly Black or Minority workers. It went downhill fast and Theft in the Large City offices was rampant. A Coin Dealer told me "Never Send Anything Insured cause all it does is say 'There's Something Worth Stealing in Here' "
Insured wasn't Signature Required at that time.
(He sent Everything Registered Mail.) Everyone that touched it had to sign for those. One was lost on my Route one time and a big Investigation followed. The Bag of cash was found a Year Later in some "empty" mailbags in Louvil.
Nowdays Everything is Scanned but it's Chaos.

And for any of you who are remotely thinking that .gov's plan to eliminate the physical dollar in favor of an all-electronic system, just take a look at how well computerized banking and direct deposit are working right now. A cashless system would only be ten times worse and we'd all be having conversations like Sam had. I recently tried to move a few thousand dollars from my health savings account to my bank checking account and it took about a week for that transaction to happen. Incredible!
