Well, the 2018 Mountain Man Match is officially in the annals. 19 guns contested for the money and bragging rights with Joseph Hurley taking top honors, Danny Hensley coming in second, and Greg... dang, I caint remember his last name coming in third. It was breezy, and started out with a little misting rain, but soon the rain, for the most part stopped and we had only to contend with a left to right wind that at times proved a bit tricky. 100 yards gave up some decent scores with Danny shooting a 261 and my son Connor shooting a 259.
There was a much needed meal of Buudies BBQ and fixins, then back at it for 200 yards and some more left to right wind, only this time, it was turned up a notch or two with the sail tails standing straight out at times.
All in all, it was a good day with great guys enjoying a common hobbie.

Special thanks to our very own Underdog AKA Donnie Harbor for the best target changing that RRRR has ever seen!

Congrats to all the winners!

Thanks for Posting Wayne

I didn’t hear your name mentioned ! Can I assume that Connor outshot the old man today ?

Congratulations to the leaders. Sounds like a good time, despite the cold wind and rain.

It’s all in the ammo

Whoever loaded it must have done one heck of a job.

How many were shooting the roper rifles, Kermit? Look what spell check did, even the computer don’t want to type “Roper”

Well Carl, I didn’t shoot. Too busy with the match, but Connor did, and boy was that new Brux barrel a shootin!

Thanks for posting the results Wayne. Congrats to the shooters, and I'm sure that everyone was well fed. ;)

And noteworthy is that Kermit ran targets rather than shoot with his vaunted 6ppc Ruger. You're a merciful fellow Donnie. WD
