I’ve heard of this happening on several occasions. Swimmers have been bit on the Chippewa Flowsge in Wisconsin . Worlds largest Muskie camefrom there. It was over 70 inches long. A couple years ago onLeech Lake, MN a kid was sitting on the end of a dock with his feet in the water kicking and splashing and a large fish bit him in the foot. There was sightings of a large Muskie in the area but no one knows for sure if that is the one that bit the child.
Fish that are 4 ft long or better don’t exhibit any fear , especially in an area that lacks a fair amount of top water activity. They are at the top of the food chain in their world.
