I have been retired for 25 years. And have all the toys for varmint shooting. I am looking for new land and friends that like ground squire shooting and other varmints , I reload for all my ammo and do a little gun smithing I am a master machinic, machinist and welder, The newest guns is the 17HMR Savage and a Savage 6mm Creedmoor. I am just waiting for the rain to stop and go shooting. I hope to go to Ceder vile for picket squires in April.

Welcome aboard Paul from up here in the Red River Valley in Western Minnesota.
No ground squirrel up here just a few of the striped gophers.
now if you go out to western N Dakota / Montana border they are plenty there. My grandson and a couple friends all
bought new Savage A17 autos. They got banana clips and 2 cases of ammo for the rifles.
they drove out there last summer in July. They had very little trouble getting permission to shoot. They said the fields were crawling with them.
Anyway they shot so much, and so fast that all three got blisters burns from the hot barrel and hot cartridges that went down inside the front of the t-shirt. I pretty sure the guns got ruined , least wise they aren’t admitting it, but they will live and learn.
I know it’s a ways from California, but it’s beautiful country to see.
