A friend has a chance on one of these with 100 rds.of factory ammo and a
hard case with a tasco scope. Less then 50rds. through the tube. Gun is like out of the box,say's it shoots great. He wants 270.00 Anyone had one? I don't want him to get the bad end of a deal.

is it an Ultra or Ultra Varmint

Our dealer cost on the Ultra (lam stock) is about $240, retail would be about $285. The Ultra Varming (choate style synth stock) is $265, retail about $300. Doesn't sound like a bad deal, considering the scope, hard case and ammo. Depending on the type of ammo, 100 rounds would easily be $25-$50 or more with the recent increase in ammo prices.

That is $50 worth of Ammo so I would say it is a good deal. The gun and scope is worth $250 I think.

I bought one awhlie back without gun case, but with Tasco scope, a nice sling and 1,200 rounds of reloaded soft point ammo for $ 275. The bullets looked like Win. to me but could be anything and the cases were military. I could not pass that one up.
