Buddy brings a mew Colt 1911 A1, .22 cal made by Walther. It is about a commander size. It is absolutely devoid of accuracy. I and 4 or 5 of the bullseye team tried and were lucky to keep 10 rounds on a 50 foot target. Tried several types of ammunition, HV, SV, match rifle, Match pistol, none any better than the other. This was off of sandbags. Sights are matte black, no dots or stripes, Front blade pretty much fills the rear notch. Windage is ok but elevation is high. Groups are sad.

It is blowback, fixed barrel. It is tight. Slide is tight. Crown looks good under magnification. Trigger is mediocre to poor with creep and 8+ pound pull.

Any ideas?

Have you tried to ask your question to Rim Fire Central? Years ago, there were many threads about the small Walther 22lr pistols. I remember they had real ammo sensitivity issues, and some functioning problems early on. Can't help other than that.

Wellll, I'll try and send this again w/o the Houdini Act.
It sounds like you checked the crown pretty good. Just to make sure, use a Q tip and see if any cotton gets picked.
The only other thing I can think of is the bbl being a blunderbuss.
But not even holding the black at 50' on a 50' BE tgt??? What the hey izzat allabout!
With you and your BE buds bagging it, I have every confidence it ain't all y'all. That trigger is a bear for sure but......
w the creds presented and the ammo used, I'm scratching my head, hard.
