Maybe 12-15 years ago I shot a one about half-grown in my backyard, Sam. My grandpa used to tell me, "Don't shoot it if you don't plan to eat it," so I decided to see how I could do. Skinned it and cleaned it, but didn't know about the musk glands on a groundhog. I wrapped it in aluminum foil with BBQ sauce and slow cooked it on a smoker. It was edible, but just barely. Later I started reading about some glands that have to be found and removed or they will funk up the meat. That sound right? Are they on the hind legs or haunches somewhere?
