Great time

That was a blast. Especially when Tracey touched off that muzzle-blast-sharing cannon! That thing either gave you a big grin or wide eyes or both. From listening to peoples's reactions, I think it was called a .375 "HOLY COW"! My grandson Mike was with me there. Y'all made a big impression on him. He's in the Coast Guard stationed in Narragansett, RI now.

Martin was actually from Crawfordsville, IN. I visited him at the Methodist Hospital in Indy shortly after the Classic but I don't think he remembered me. He sure remembered the event and the hospitality, though. Just another example of the great guys running loose on this forum.

Martin gave us the idea for the 800 yard quarter. After his visit to the CLASSIC named for him he went into rehab after his surgery. He said the guys up there did not believe the 800 yard egg. So Martin asked me to send him a quarter centered at 800 yards.
Well Junebug did it but would not part with the quarter. I later did the quarter thing twice but Martin had already passed away.
