From the factory, they're about twice as tight as they need to be....
Can't answer a "torque" number as I've never measured one taking it off.
When installing them, I use a rear entry action wrench and just "lean on it". The wrench has a machined hex on the back that a 3/4" wrench fits on.
I used a torque wrench with a socket once to see how much I had torqued one installing it and it was just over 70ft lbs.
As long as it's tight enough to keep it from backing off, it's tight enough...
I've see "big name" guys at BR matches screw them off with very little effort at all..... no more than snug...
