I was in Benton Sporting goods in Benton(speed trap), Tenn. yesterday. They had a 30'06 Remington 798. The stock is much like the old adl stock with a more open grip, the finish is not as shinny as the walmart adl. The buling is bright. The action is rough, all the bluing was worn off the reciever from the extractor dragging. It had the crossbolt magazine release rather than the '07release. Net probably a better practical hunting rifle than the old mkx.
