32° here in Upstate NY this morning under overcast skies, the high temperature for today will be up to about 38°. It will be a mostly cloudy day with a 20% chance for some snow showers this afternoon with a 7 to 11mph wind.

Yesterday was a pretty quiet day, I had to be on the road for a while in the morning and then it was at home for the rest of the day. I even managed to get a nap in. Today we are going to be going to a one-year-old birthday party for one of my Great Granddaughters.

Belated condolences for Jan and FB for your loss.

Prayers for all that need them.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

34 and supposed to be headed to the mid 40's today. The melting continues but it can't go fast enough for me. I'm ready for real spring.
With everything still buried under the snow, spring clean up will have to wait, as will the firewood chores. Most of the towns around us got little to nothing but a few towns, like us, got hammered from this storm. Puts us behind schedule for spring like activities. I'll figure out something to do, I'm sure. Maybe load some shotshells getting ready for the clay target games once the weather really breaks. Getting low on lead, but have all the other components I need. I probably have enough to get most of the way through the season if I don't get crazy with range time. The cost of the games will help keep that down anyway.
Continued prayers for Jan and FB as they deal with this family shock.
Hope you all have a good day.

Four calves in my bunch yesterday, two had to go to the barn for a warm up, but were brought back to their mommas later in the day and are doing fine.
Not much else got done yesterday, took all morning working with the cows to get them out of the snow banks and back with their babies. Didn't get the

Good morning folks. It's a cloudy 37 here, headed for 50 later. Better get some yard work done today, going to be 10 degrees colder tomorrow. But, it looks like next week rebounds nicely and spring is around the corner. Daffodils are mostly up and blooming. Early for us. I'll take it.

We had a nice dinner with my little buddy and his girlfriend. He seems to like my company and will fit in good with us. Let's hope he makes up his mind soon.

Coffee is ready, better get some. Prayers for Jan and FB. Have a good one.

Morning Everyone!

Its 36º and cloudy here headed for the mid 40's with a lite North wind.

Yesterday was a busy day. We left out just before noon to drive to Pine Bluff and watch the youngest Granddaughter at the State gymnastics meet. Her gym got 3rd place overall and She placed 10th out of over 70 ther girls. About half of the girls were 1 to 2 years older than Her.
We left Pine Bluff and drove over to Hot Springs for our Youngest Son's birthday. His partners in the Duck Club, their Wives, his SIL and MIL were all there. They cooked Crawfish with corn, Potatoes, Mushrooms and Sausage. It was fun but it was a long day with us getting home around 11:00. We were outside and it was a little cold. He has a great outdoor area with a covered porch and a fireplace, a tv and a fire ring beside it.

Not much planned for today. Still waiting for 9mm bullets to arrive. We'll watch the Razorbacks play after while.

Prayers offered for those in need and for our Country.

Y'all have a good one.

30 with bright sunshine and maybe the very low 40s today in Middle TN. Tarcila will be in zoom meetings all day and a good part of tomorrow. The live meeting is in FL, but she decided that air travel is such a hassle that she would pass. So I'm the designated dog sitter today and my job is to keep them from barking at squirrels, chipmunks and deer as it would disrupt the meeting. I have a couple of errands to do, so I'll be taking the dogs to ride along to Dry Branch. Ron, club secretary is home from the hospital and says he is feeling good. The older we get the more health problems pile up it seems.

G'day Y'all,
Rick

Good Caturday, GoGo. At 0915 it's 31 in Louisville, sunny and going to 37. The low this morning was 30 and tonight it's dropping to 20. Brrrrr! Rain coming in later next week and a high of 74 on Thursday.

Got a little financial work done yesterday and that was about it. Cindy spent yesterday with her mom, as usual, and brought her niece (12) and nephew (16) home with her. I cooked Super Nachos for dinner last night. Used brisket as the meat and man, it was good!

Congrats to Elijah for earning the last of his basic certifications at welding school. I always knew that young man would cut through that school like a hot knife through butter. I hope when he gets out that he can find an employer who'll pay for his skills.

Here's my Caturday photo. Talk about a little demon!

Morning all, 32 headed to a high of 45 today. I am sitting here watching a show that comes on the History Channel, every Saturday morning, from 9am-10am. It is called the The Hard Facts of Conservation. It consists of 2 half hour segments, that portrays hunting in a positive light. It shows how hunters spending money on licenese, hotel rooms, food, gas and everything else, promote the restoration, and eventually the hunting of wildlife, from elk to bear, to turkey and so on. Refreshing to see a mainstream tv program be on our side. Going to pick up 12 rolls of sausage today, a buddy is making 1.25 pound rolls for $4 each, and the wife prefers his spice mix to mine, so who am I to argue. Also helps his budding butchering business, try to help him out all I can, occasionally will go help him as much as I can when he gets in over his head. He gifted me the lard off of a bear when he had 3 to skin and I skinned and boned out one while he and two other guys skinned the other 2 and put in the cooler. Then we need to run by the drug store and probably down by the Mennonite store. May pick up a BBQ sandwich for lunch while there. You all have a good one, keep warm, prayers for those that need them.

AH, man, Bill. My old Polish buddy used to say the walleyes don’t run until the lilacs bloom. For you and for me that’s ore than a few weeks away.
I don’t know what we’re doing today yet. With two funeral visitations and two funerals, I don’t even know which comes first yet but I’ll have to find out soon.

Morning all. A good day to hibernate here. It is partly sunny, 20F with a high of only 25F. Winds are ripping, 15-20mph, with higher gusts. And yes, were are getting snow flurries, but maybe a max of 0.5 inch total. Too cold to so anything productive, so it will be the normal stuff and maybe watch a BB game or movie this afternoon. Be safe and keep warm.

Great morning on the day after Saint Patrick's day, which by the way is my wife's 56th wedding anniversary. This year it fell on the same day as it did way back then. She is by far the best thing that ever happened to me!
It 20° and cloudy on the way to a high of 32° later in the day. The other day I mentioned that got my feet tangled up with my cane and took a tumble in the living room floor of our house, well today I am so sore. I think I must have pulled some muscles on the right side of my chest, or bruised some ribs or cracked one or two. It hurts bad enough that I don't want to breath and on top of that I have a lot of Sinus drainage and as it goes down my throat it makes me cough, which is painfull.
I ordered new phones for the wife and I for our anniversary, the old ones we had were worthless as a smart phone, they didn't have enough memory in them. I got a notification that I needed to update the operating system in them and had to back and delete a lot of the apps that had come on the phone because it didn't have enough room to do the update, They work fine as just a phone but as a smart phone they stink. They are on the Verison network.
Many prayers for all that are in need, especially Ms. Jan and F.B. and also this country. God bless us all and put this country back on track.

Zoom meetings, cable-TV and new cell phones were mentioned in some of the morning posts. The world sure has changed a lot since we’ve all been here. I’m thankful for some of it. It’s good to keep in touch with all of you curmudgeons, scattered all over the country.
Not sure of the temperature but it’s cold and I’m working outside today.
Another fish fry and trapshooting last night. My son was doing some of the cooking and he did a fine job I might add. Shooting was fun but, as always, I was 2 targets out of the money.
Back to work for now. Make it a good day

I’m back. Been under the weather a little. They let me skip this weeks treatment. Don’t go back till 28th. Feeling better today.
Preacher showed up a little while ago to replace a sheet of metal on wifey’s she shed that blowed off couple weeks ago.
Son has 10 hog hunters in from N Dakota. They got 6 Thursday evening. Don’t have a report on last night yet.
Son put a thermal on one of his suppressed 22 lr’s and a couple of them were going to a spot that has had several cooons hitting a feeder.
Prayers for our Country, Israel, Ukraine and all Y’all
