57° here in Upstate NY this morning, looks as if it is going to be another nice day. The high temperature is to get up to about 74° with no rain.

Yesterday I was on the road quite a bit but today I won't be . I have plans to go to the range this morning. I would like to get out and go fishing but the river is still somewhat high.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good morning all. We have 68 in Indy heading for low 80s. Radar shows a long red and yellow line heading our way. No golf today. Went to see a grandson’s marching band perform last night and a football game broke out. The band did great and the class 5A home town football team whipped the 6A #4 ranked visitors 31-9. The New Palestine Dragons are a load!

Not much on the dance card today unless those of us in operations missed a memo from planning.

Have a good day.

morning all. 58 here this morning, mid 70s for a high, 40% chance of something later in the day.
Sprinkler work, and had to work on one of the loaders, radiator pluged and needed cleaned along with the air filter. Will do some more cleaning on it this morning before the stacking crew gets started.
Boss man baled yesterday, my tractors' AC is waiting for parts to come in and I just can't take the heat, even with the fan blowing it's too hot in the cab to stay there very long.
Couple more fields of alfalfa got cut yesterday, probably more today.
Have a great day and be safe out there.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Good morning from Iowa Falls. 67 and clear today. I get the day off, actually I am going to Rochester to see a friend and take in the gunshow. It will be a bitter sweet trip as his mind is slipping and this is is his last show. He's the person who really encouraged me to get into collecting old reloading tools.
Wife is staying in the RV so it's a guy's day.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

Good morning folks. It is 60° out and is going to be another beautiful summer day. Not many left I'm afraid. I got the ole widder neighbor's lawn mowed last night before Sue and I went to the Messican place for dinner. JR knows the one. Good food. Then we stopped by the shop to load up guns for today's gun raffle. Headed out here shortly to fix mom's garage door before we have to leave for the raffle. Busy day.

Have a good one.

Good morning from the sticks of Kentucky with threatening skies....again. MPC, I have a field of hay down right now, just couldn't get it dried out with the cool temperatures and half cloudy skies. I am hoping to get it wrapped up someday, then I will be up to cut and bale your yard.

I have been ON VACATION for a couple days and not sure when JB is returning. I have stayed out of trouble, just trying to Work on hay mostly. My Stihl chain saw broke down yesterday, where's SKRUSKE when you need him? Montana wilderness playing with the wolves and bears?
KY Carpman must have tried that Tire Swing I posted the link to last night.... since he is late today. Charlie, that Messican restaurant would be good in about 9 hours but I can't make it today. Old car show in Town today, which means I will be staying out of town traffic.
Heading out to get the hay bailer and rake hooked up and ready to use if I get the chance....Old Boss man in Colorado would come in handy if it clears up?

Big News for the day.....Projected BABY DAY in DamItaly. But things may not be on schedule, you know how Wimmen babies are.

Good Saturday Morning from Missouri

78* and a hazy on the way to the lower 90's today, here in the northern Ozarks. The weather here has been crazy this summer. Blistering hot and then jacket cool inside of a week. Really has been a strange year.

As a lot of you all know I work part time in a local gun shop and yesterday morning was no different. Except a customer walked in that was new to the shop and walked around looking at different things. I went to see if I could help and the guy turned out to be Jerry Mikulek. He is in the area to take part in the International Pistol Caliber Carbine tournament today and tomorrow. He was looking for some heavy weight 9mm bullets. We do not carry them because in our are the heaviest we have ever sold was 124 grain bullets. So I missed selling him some ammo, just because we don't keep it in stock. I am thinking of going to the tournament today to watch some of the shooters. Went last year and it was very interesting to watch, except I can't walk around a lot on the rough ground around the events.

Well you all have a great weekend and stay cool and dry. Prayers to all in need and this great country. God bless.

mrmurl, a very interesting comment from Jerry Miculek about heavy bullets. I like 147gr in 9mm because they are subsonic, and from my experience, my pistols seem to group better with 147gr than with 124gr or 115gr.

Really great morning folks,

56° with smoke haze and a mostly cloudless sky here in Devil's Elbow real gall darn campground.

We relaxed the past two days with an old pal from a shooter's board that has been recycled back into bits & bytes. He visited us at this campground & we reminisced of days a decade ago of the fun we had. He was here for several hours when the campground host came by in her golf cart to check on us. I was concerned she was going toss "Jbar" out for not paying for the day use sticker. So I did the only thing I figured would make good sense. I introduced him as Former Montana Governor Johnson. THAT piqued her interest and she ask "when were you governor?". Without missing a beat Jbar said "From '92 to '96" . She seemed satisfied with the answer and offered no more questions, just more friendly chatter.

We are moving on & turning northeast toward Bismarck ND after some coffee. We will stop at a little town outside that capitol to visit more old dear friends. Not sure if Jimbob will become a governor of not.

TinMan;
I have never tried the 147 grains, because we don't have any call for them at the gun shop and so don't keep them. I have shot the 124's and 115's a lot. I have as my main carry a Glock 27 with a KKM conversion barrel and it shoots the 115's really well, at least better then I can shoot. I have been reloading them for quite some time and like them. I have been thinking about converting back to my 40 caliber barrel and going back to it, just haven't done it yet. I may have to get a few of the 147's and give them a try. That would be very close to the 40 cal. then.

Anyway I am going to go to the PCC match here in a little while. Hope to run into a few more there. Have a great day.

Looking at 95° here in SE Texas and hopefully some showers. Got out and did some grocery shopping today. Funny how some people are considerate of a fella with crutches in a buggy and some seem to ignore you completely and just stay in your way.

It was nice to get out of the house even if it was just for groceries. Had set up a trip to an indoor range and confirmed they could give us chairs but my buddy had car trouble. Maybe we can try again this upcoming week.
