50° here in Upstate NY this morning with no rain for a change. The high temperature for today will be up around 61° and a decent day.

Yesterday it was just more computer work most of the day, my wife and I went out for supper last night. That is the first time we had been out in a few months so it was nice. Today I think I might go up to the gun club for awhile.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Great morning folks,

Fall chill has set in with 42° and a mostly clear sky here near Halfway USA.

A bit of drizzle at mid day cut short our rummage sale adventure. I think DD wants to pick up where we left off. We did drag home a couple treasures. I got a bike for the grandkids for $5 that needed 10 minutes worth of repair. A sack of Craftsman tools also made it into the car also.

After some lunch I set about building a mold for the shooting bench tops. I had to recreate the one we made last year from memory & a couple pictures. It only took me a couple hours & it is ready for concrete. The Pres & I are going to start on Monday laying block.

I did crawl under the ******* Limo to clean the connections on the starter. Despite being a big truck, there ain't a lot of room to swing a wrench right around the starter as it's right next to the frame. Luckily a ratchet with a cut off handle I got at a rummage sale this past summer made that task a little less difficult. I'm still thinking the batteries are starting to show signs of stress even though they are only 3.5 years old.

I need to check the furnace on the Bigfoot camper today and give it a cleaning in preparation for the up coming hunting season.

Good Morning

52 here in NC Ohio with more blue skies and 60's. Just working on the garden project and finally enjoying some cool weather. It does make me long for the woods and hunting seasons of the past, but my old arthur legs, back can barely get me too the mailbox. Be safe out there and Prayers to those and country. Mike

Good morning, GoGo. It's 53 in Louisville, going to 75 with plenty of sun. It's honestly beginning to feel a little like fall, although we'll have plenty of warm and hot days coming.

Y'all say a prayer for me. Cindy's son, Scott, 25, ground the brake pad on his left rear down into the rotor. So, today I'm doing a rear disc brake job for him. We do pretty well if he pays attention and learns a thing or two. But if he's having a chase-the-butterflies day, I don't handle it very well. After I finish that, I need to install a Rifle Basix trigger on my Savage 6BR. The rifle's Accu-Trigger is light enough, but if you aren't careful closing the bolt you can get an accidental discharge. I'm hoping the new trigger gives me a release that's both light and safe, like it should be.

Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there.

PS. I just heard it's National Coffee Day. My everyday coffee is Maxwell House French Roast. Probably my favorite coffee is one of Drew's Brews made in a French press alongside a prairie dog field.

morning all. 45 here but it sure feels colder. Could get into the high 70s today. Also to be breezy!
Got about 70 acres baled yesterday morning, was dry from the start, just not much dew at all. Less dew this morning but I'll go bale anyway for a while.
Had to repair the under ground power wire to one of our stock wells yesterday, we had the fault found last spring but had just ran a cord to the well. Boss man dug up the bad wire with the big loader yesterday and I spliced it and got the well going again.
Better find some breakfast, I let Gwyn sleep in but she has to work today too.
Have a good day all.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Good Saturday morning all. It's a chilly 56º here at the start of PA archery season. I should be in a tree, but I have to work today. Big all-day gun ticket at a local fire hall. This is a fun one actually. Good food, beer and scenery. Although since I'm working, I have to take it easy on the beer...and gambling. My mom is going along. She'll probably gamble a bunch of my inheritance away.

I checked the yard several times last night and no skunks were seen or caught in the trap. Maybe there was only one Pepe to worry about. Still, I can't take any chances. I need to post watch another night at least. I think I'll try to get the skunk damage repaired tomorrow, then I'll know if there's fresh, there's more skunks.

Well, I guess I better finish my coffee and get in the shower. Trying some Black Rifle Coffee Co stuff I got with my Vortex order. It's called "Just Black" and it's pretty danged good. We sell it at the shop, but I won't indulge myself at $13-15 per pound. I drink the cheap Colombian from Wally World and it's very comparable to this stuff.

Have a good one.

56º and clear in the hollow this morning. Wife is gone to a service convention this W/E so I'm without adult supervision. The dogs and I went for a walk before daylight and it was truly a pleasure, clear and cool. I have a couple of things to do before the post office opens and then after sending some $$ to Oregon for some tools I intend to drive north to a private range and see if a couple of new barrels will actually shoot. The weather for it looks good with sunshine and a light breeze. Maybe it will help me put aside the fiasco we've watched in Washington this week. All I have to say it F**k a bunch of democrats.

G'day Y'all,
Rick

Saturday

Good real Saturday morning all. I'm a little late to the party this morning and it's already up to 51 in Indy. Big day yesterday. Democrats showed their @$$e$ again. The US Ryder Cup team took the kind of beating the Dems deserve. Celebrated birthdays with my younger son and his wife while their 8 yr old daughter sang the Zac Brown Band song Colder Weather in the restaurant. Ordered everything I didn't really need so I can load and shoot another caliber. The New Palestine Dragons football team won 77-7. Their running back got 222 yards and 6 TDs in the first half. He leads the nation in TDs and hasn't played in a second half yet. Then I picked up the following bit of reality to ponder.

The United States has become a place where entertainers and professional athletes are mistaken for people of importance. I've needed a doctor. I've needed a teacher. I need farmers every day. I've needed a police officer and a firefighter. I've needed an auto mechanic, a plumber, a house painter and a lot of other everyday people. But, I have NEVER, not even once, NEEDED a pro athlete, a media personality, or a Hollywood entertainer for ANYTHING.

On that happy note, I'll agree with Greyfox, offer prayers like MPC, and wish y'all a good day.
