32° here in Upstate NY this morning, right now we are under a winter advisory until 8:00AM. It is raining and it is possible for some freezing rain, it is suppose to rain all morning and then clear off. The high today is to get up to about 40°.

I am hoping it will be a fairly quiet day today, it hasn't been a bad week but. If it does clear off before noon I might take a run up to the gun club for a little while this afternoon.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Morning from Trinity Texas. We made it here with no problems, I set the cruise on 55mph and we got 12.3 mph towing a 38ft trailer, not bad. We will be working ere for the next three weeks.
Settled is and greeted all our old friends, several couples here we have known for years. it's 39 and clear, high is 62. It's forecast to be a warm and sunny week.
I need to clean the truck and fiddle with the dining table in the trailer, that should take most of the day.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

Morning George and gang. It's 45° with light rain here in the deer blind on the shore. We had a good hunt last eve just couldn't get any shots. A small buck ran a doe and fawn past them a spike joined. A big die stepped out right at dark but disappeared in the brush as fast as we saw her. Hopefully today it stops raining and they move. Probably our last day here on the lease. Not doing it next year. Other things in my agenda.

Have a good one.

Good Morning

Good real Saturday morning all !! 32 here in NC Ohio with more sun on the way, I like this kind of winter for the wood saving in the greenhouse, just a small fire at night and that's it. Well I done more than kick a tire yesterday I now drive a Ram pick-up with all the bells and whistle's. They made me a deal on a 2017 ,1500 model 5.7 hemi with 26000 miles. GM wants to close Ohio plants I don't need to drive a GM. Be safe and Prayers to those and country. Mike

Great morning folks,

For now it's 28° with a clear sky here near Halfway USA. We saw sunshine and 45° for a few hours yesterday. Sunshine & mid 40's today too.

All four tires got changed on the big double wide. It's a heavy son of a gun. Had to use a 12ton bottle jack as my 2.5 ton floor jack wasn't up to the task. New tires should last several years as they are heavy commercial trailer tires.

Gathering for the road trip continues.

Heading to Corey's this afternoon. Birthday party for his 2yr old daughter.

I picked up an AR10 complete lower yesterday. Time to learn about the scaled up platform. First thing to do is figure what caliber in 308 sized action I want.

morning all. -3 earlier this morning, up to 0 now with a slight breeze. It got close to 30 yesterday, even melted a little snow on the pavement and south side of buildings. Another storm moving in for tomorrow but all we'll get is some wind.
After chores yesterday I set out to change the started on the blue loader, but couldn't even get the old one off. Finally gave up and put it back together. I just don't have the right metric tools to get to the back bolt, also they are bolts that go thru the bell housing. Some how need to get behind the flywheel to hold the head of the bolt while turning off the nuts. What a set up, the New Holland service guys told me to have fun! They didn't even want to come out and make a few bucks in a heated shop!
May try it again today unless something... anything else comes up.
Have a great weekend and be safe out there.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Scott, one thing about AR10s you'll learn real quick is they cost way more than Ar15s. And not all parts will enterchange, I try to stay with the stuff that they say will fit DPMS. So far I haven't had any problems with that.

GOOD morning from the sticks of Kentucky where there is a strange orange ball in the eastern sky today.
36° to start off and it will most likely get warmer. It sounds to me like Dean needs a bigger hammer on the starter....some of this stuff is about impossible to work on for me.
Hopefully Ky Fishman made it to Paducah safely, I think that's where he was headed. Skruske is jumping off into the 6.5 Creedmore world it seems, he just doesn't know it yet...

The hole in my yard is still undug maybe Judy Brown will dig it out today? The Damcows are standing out in the muddy field looking at my house....When is he coming to feed us???
I had a new baby yesterday, I bet he wishes he had waited another day with all the rain yesterday.
Y'all be safe and don't blow up any rifles.

Good morning from East central Indiana. Looks like they say it might hit 50° today. I been at the shop for a bit last night while driving home my seat decided to lay flat on me in the Blazer. The bolt that holds the seat back to the recline mechanism broke....just one little 8mm bolt hold the back upright. The passenger seat done the same thing last year. Got it all fixed up and brought my Tac20 AR in with me to bore sight before taking it out later to put it on paper to see it will somewhat decent.

I also need to get my interior part out of the Coronet and taken in town and stored in my garage loft. Then maybe drag it in the shop and take an airhose and blow out all the cracks and tight spots and start looking it over for possible rust repair spots.....I know I have a couple of small spots but I haven't dug sown deep into it yet.

Well hope everyone has a good day!

We started the day in the low 30's with clear skies. I was up with the dogs about 2:00 AM and if the neighbor's security light had not been there it would have been nearly as clear and bright as SD. It's already up to 45º and the sun is still shining. Looks like it might be a nice day. We have to make a major appliance decision. When we built this house 14 years ago we installed a Jenn-Aire downdraft gas stove. A couple of years ago, the circuit board began to puke. Jenn-Aire said it couldn't be repaired and paid us off with more $$ than we paid for the stove new. We've limped along since then, but now it's gone. We can still use the burners on top with a hand lighter, but nothing else. Seems the major hangup for my wife is that the replacements only come in stainless and our other stuff is black. Can't be helped. My major issue is the $$. This is gonna leave a mark in my money clip.

G'day Y'all,
Rick

GF, I had 2 Jenn-Aire's that went wonky. Never again. I reluctantly went to a glass top that is black. 10 + years and good.
Note, My wife had a habit of leaving the teapot on the electric coil and walking away. She had fused a few to the stove top. I didn't want a $1200 top to have a melt down. I installed an instant hot water dispenser for her tea. No more melted pots.

I feel your pain Rick. We put all new in 2 yrs ago. Nowayinhell were we going to mix and match brands to get best CR recommendation for the big stuff. Why? "The handles wouldn't match." Just got Sears "2yrs same as cash" pd off. Even got a small, auxiliary freezer thrown in for some screw up on their part. I keep my Aldi milk, bread and some creamer in it.
Plenty of SUN and it is welcome. It seems after this short warm trend the jet stream is going to make a big dip. It was hitting Hotlanta. Enjoy, southern Buds. Your days are again numbered. I may wash the truck, it being so balmy and all.
This time last year, we were around ZERO for two weeks. I like this much better.
Gotta get a move on......Tom out

Good real Saturday afternoon all. It’s sunny and 45 heading for 55 in Indy. Survived pancakes and bacon early this morning and Julie just brought home some kinda’ ham and cheese on a pretzel bun from Meijer. Pretty good. I compensated by putting in a stint on the new recumbent exercise bike. Much reduced load on the artificial hip and the one that needs replaced. Pretty happy about that.

Watching the AR journeys with interest. Calibers all over the spectrum. Another forum I visit is up to their necks in pistol caliber ARs. I have zero interest in those but I’m curious about what’s happening here. Scheduled for a nap shortly. Gotta’ go. Have a good day.

Doug, how does the recumbent bike treat your back and neck? The rotten discs in my neck are a problem on a regular bike when I have to lean forward. The arms go numb and go into a spasm. I need to get exercise but at this point it is downright painful.

So far so good on the recumbent bike. The back rest is reclined just enough that I don’t sit straight up. I was able to do a “fitting” at a nearby bike shop before we bought it. It has handles down next to the saddle which is wide and comfortable. Pulse monitors are in the handles. We had an upright exercise bike that now lives at my son’s house. It was never comfortable for me. The bad hips made it unusable. The recumbent was actually recommended by my cardiologist. He knows about the hips.
