10° here in Upstate NY this morning with a calm wind, the high today is to get up to about 19°. Yesterday it was very windy all day so the cold temperature was worse.

I was on the road and busy again yesterday, today it looks as if I can spend some time at home but it won't be outside very much. Got some paperwork to catch up on so it will be a good time to do that.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good Morning, it's 55 with light rain now in Trinity, high around 59 and clearing off.
We worked till noon yesterday at which point everyone was too tired to go on. Who knew driving a paint roller was so much work? I pulled carpet from two rooms.
Today is take it easy, we will probably run over to Wally Mart in Huntsville as wife needs some stuff.

Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

Good Morning

A good real Saturday morning to everyone!! No white death here yet, guessers say 2-4 today and 1-3 tonight. Actual statement from one of the weather ladies on TV ( we want to get you ready for the snow storm ) is she going to come out to my house and dress me to go stuff the stove? That would be nice, but I didn't survive the blizzard of 1978 with any advice from a TV person!!! Oh well such is todays life. Be safe and Prayers to those and country. Mike

I’m not dreaming of a white Saturday but we have one. Looks like a couple of inches and more falling. May get up to 6”. Temp is 28 heading for middle 30s. We’ll venture out for breakfast then check our options for the rest of the day. I don’t see much going on.

Have a good day

Mornin boys...
37 here high on RUGER Mt this morning.
There's a shooting match we may go to this morning if the
boys want to go to in Tn. about 5 or so miles from here. Tucker
won a gun last time we went. A friend bought a 30br and asked if
they wanted to shoot it in the match. We ain't got a gun that fits in
their rules so they would have to shoot 1 of theirs. Giving rain so it might
get called off, just have to wait and see.
You all have a gooden today and GOD Bless...

Good morning, GoGo. It's 33 in Louisville, going to 42. We got about 1-2 inches of snow overnight and are due for another 1-2, probably tonight. We're supposed to have rain during the day today, so I'm hoping to skip any snow shoveling.

Don't know what kind of trouble I'll get into today. I have some 9mm reloads that wouldn't chamber, so I need to figure out what's going on there. I seated the bullets based on OAL, not the ogive, so I'm thinking I just need to bump the bullets a few more thou into the cases. Could be something else, I suppose. We'll see what we see.

Y'all have a good'n and be safe out there.

Morning folks. It's 23° here with clouds. Snow on the way I guess. Not sure how much we'll get. I haven't looked at weather yet. Guess I'll bring some wood in before the wet weather. The wood stove seems to be working but my wood I think is too dry. You can light it with a match and a full load doesn't last all night. Oh well, I guess that's why I have propane backup.

Sam, I wish you'd keep your AR pistol questions to yourself. :p. Now you've got me looking into one maybe. Like I need another gun. ;) Lemme know when you get those lowers.

Prayers offered. Have a good one.

Yesterday my dear wife took me out for lunch at a Famous Recipie Chikin house. She had to go th Stanford Kentucky to get the same number lot of some dumbass fabric to finish a quilt. That's the way it is ain't it Dean.? Dean, we are loading the Damcalf in the Geo Metro COW truck and taking it to the Stockyards in a few minutes...Maybe buy breakfast with the paycheck. Judy Brown will be Sitting on the calf holding it down. Maybe...

Gotta check my snares and **** traps for COYOTES and ***** after I get back and feed the Damcows.
I predict Skruske will get his Package.....Tuesday. He is going to be pissed.

40ish and cloudy with wet ground from overnight showers. Looks like the day will be more of the same. I suppose it's better than the snow to the north, although I don't really mind some white stuff as long as I don't need to travel. Not sure what's going on today. My friend John Kruzan and I had planned to be in NW Ky for some quail shooting on a private game preserve, an annual pilgrimage, but pen raised quail and rain/snow don't play well together so we called it off. I have some brass to modify, so I guess that's what it will be, at least until I get tired of it. On another note. SKruske helped me find a part for my down draft stove and I ordered it last Sunday. It was shipped by FedEx on Monday, went from NY to PA, to WV, Hurricane Mills TN (100 miles west of me), then to Olive Branch MS (even further west, near Memphis). Now it's scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday. Entertaining.

G'day, Y'all,
Rick

morning all. 19 here, may get to 30 today. Snowed off and on all day yesterday and yet we still don't have a full inch, but over in town they got almost a foot! At least we don't have much to blow around and pile up  Could still get more thru tomorrow.
Just chores lined up for today again, may try to spend some time out in the workshop. Sure there is some brass needs worked or a gun that needs cleaning.
Slept in cause it's Saturday, only day we can get away with that! Now running late so better get.
Have a great weekend and be safe and warm.
GOD BLESS. Dean

JR. I just read your good morning post. Usually baby calves bring high dollar around here, but only when everyone is calving, not many calve year around. People pick them up for replacements when they lose on off a momma. As for the quilting stuff, I just stay out of the way and let Gwyn do her thing. Maybe Judy should come and go thru the stock pile around here!!!!

Morning everyone.....lots of white crap on the ground made for an interesting drive to work this morning. We have a few inches it looks like and it is still falling. Like Jr said the Walmart and Kroger here looked worse than at Christmas time. no bread or milk anywhere.....I didn't go buy shit it...I guess there was almost fist fights breaking out.

I have to go work on a semi real fast then i'm done for the day I think....I got my rifle and hunting gear in the truck so I might take the back way home and make a few sets.

Well have a good day!

Dang, JR, so you're suggesting that when the slide wouldn't close on my 9mm pistol, that I should have maybe whacked it with a hammer or something. Of all the ideas that came to mind, I knew not to try that one. Ha! But thanks for the suggestion.

Charlie, when I was in the Army Reserve, I never had any love at all for the M-16. I always fired real well when we had to qualify, but the darned thing never looked or felt like a "real" rifle should. And when I saw my first AR "pistol," I think I laughed out loud, wondering who thought that thing up and who would ever be stupid enough to buy one.

BUT when Sig came out with that first ATF-approved "arm brace" and paired it with an AR and a 10.5" barrel, it was like a lightbulb came on in my head. Whether you see it as a dandy home-defense gun, as a compact truck gun, or as a lightweight Armageddon patrol rifle, the darned things are just addictive. Here's an example:

Being between Shane and Mike, I too am drifted in. At least 2" drifts.......( I made my Aldi's run Th and have 4 gal of milk in the freezer so I'm gtg till all of this melts off.
Annual gun club mtg tonight. I'm thinking about carrying signage suggesting our Prez be impeached. Grounds being a cantankerous, curmudgeonly old fart.....hey, waitaminute, that's abt 50% of us attending. That move may keep our Sgt at Arms busy.
Need to fight my way to the shop, feed the katz and get some 19 brass out of the jitterbug.
County truck just went by tossing some ice off w his plow.
All y'all keep yer feet's under ya if you go out. Gravity seems to have gotten stronger and faster these last 5 years. Tom out.

I know how it feels to able to answer your own questions! :D

And while I'm here............The snowblower did it's usual job. Cleared the driveway in about 5 minutes then called in the varmint who plows our streets. Now I gotta' run the snowblower again. It's still snowing. The truck accumulated enough while I was at breakfast that I ran it through the car wash so the accumulation wouldn't all end up on the garage floor.
