34° here in Upstate NY this morning, supposed to be a decent day today with a high temperature up to about 54°. Tomorrow will be better with temperatures in the 60's.

Yesterday was mixed day for weather and everything else. We got some freezing rain, some snow and some rain. I got the gun club an price for a used 20' storage container that we want to put an NRA Grant request in for this year. I got a one day a week of seven hours for IT work offer with a company that I don't know if I want to take or not. Today I don't know what is going to come along.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone.

Good morning from Bartonville Texas, 66 now, might have a thunderstorm this morning. 73 for the high.
Not much happening now, or planned for the day. Nothing happened yesterday either.
If it is dry enough then the kids will be working on the landscaping.
Hope everyone has a blessed day,
Ken

51º and cloudy. My alarm was set for 4:30, but at 2:30 one of the dogs got sick and woke me. I didn't go back to sleep and after an hour decided to just get up. We'll be holding the first UBR match at the new range today and I need to be there early. I know this bunch pretty well and suspect there will be folks waiting at the gate at 6:30. Looks like this will be the largest attendance for any UBR match other than the Nationals. Should be a lot of fun and with the weather forecast and shooting meters rather than yards I expect some new records to be set.

G'day Y'all,
Rick

Good morning all. 47 in Indy heading for upper 60s. Expecting a quiet day here. Daughter had her first treatment yesterday. One of the anticipated side effects is fatigue and she was pretty tired last evening. We texted a couple of times and I’ll talk to her later today.

My BIL ordered a Caldwell BR swivel shooting bench through Amazon last week. Yesterday it was delivered damaged and they’re sending him another. Funny thing is they also delivered a mattress he hadn’t ordered. He called Amazon and they basically said “hmmm”..,, and told him to keep it no charge. He went out and bought a lottery ticket.

Good day to you all.

Great morning boardlings,

35° with some ground fog but a clears sky above so we should have mostly sunshine with 65° later here near Halfway USA. Hopefully, the last of winter has dwindled away.

Lots of errands were handled & a few groceries made there way home. Last task of the day was to retrieve a big ol' rock from my brother in law's place. They thought it was a small one buried in a pasture. A remnant of the last glacier that covered this part of the state. It took a couple hours to fully uncover & get it up out of the hole. It's in the back of the ******* Limo now. Not sure what it looks like but after it gets rained on a few times we will see.

I have to figure out how to push it off the truck to where DD wants it. Gravity will place it were it's doing to live for the next several hundred years. ;)

A little more maintenance on the truck today. It'll be quick & easy, just to exhaust clamps to cut off & replace. The post office locally almost sent them away yesterday. Seems the vendor put the wrong state on the package. Surprisingly, a phone call to the post master headed it off before it was rerouted to Dundee Mississippi. That town & this town are only on digit different in zip codes.

DD is all jazzed up about watching a bunch of guys in green run around in a gym with a ball today.

I knew Greyfox would have a bad night in anticipation of the big Grand Opening of the range, but i didn't know it would be That bad. Good luck Rick on everything falling into place.
Its 54° headed to 70 here in the sticks of Kentucky and full cloud cover. No rain again.

This is opening day at Keeneland race course if anyone cares. I have made a few trips there and it is very interesting just to watch the people.
Oh, and they do have horses.
And Race Day in Bristol Tn. With the Big race tomar...middle son is going to the NASCAR race.

Judy Brown returned from her trip to Nashville Tn. She had a fun time, but she gave me a Black Eye on her return. We were having Wild Sex and she caught me with an Elbow in the eye.

If you don't believe that, then you sure wouldn't believe what Really happened....
Got cows and cats to attend to, so i better get going, also going to find Skruske another big rock.????

Good Saturday morning folks. It's 41° here with fog, but mid 60s later today. We had some needed rain yesterday. I didn't get the radar on the boat, but I did get it hooked up and tested to make sure it worked prior to drilling holes in fiberglass. I got everything figured out and needed some nuts and bolts anyway. Tractor Supply had almost everything. Had to get a few non SS bolts for now but have replacements coming. I'll get it on this afternoon after work at the shop, I hope. First thing is coffee though, followed by breakfast.

Have a good one gang!

morning all. 27 and on the way to 60 today. Hope the wind doesn't blow.
Worked out side yesterday, was nice to be out of the shop for a change. Still have lots of work on the packer but got a good start yesterday.
Gwyn has to work today so we didn't get to sleep in to long but was nice not to have the alarm waking us up.
Breakfast is waiting so have a good day and be safe. Good luck Rick with the shoot.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Big decorative rocks

My MIL took a shine to a particular big rock at the Fruit of the Loom expansion about 35 years ago. Roughly 7'x5'x3' limestone with millions of small fossils. They used a giant track hoe to load it on a 2 ton flatbed truck. Down the road they drove 4 miles through town with 1/4" between the tires and wheel welds and front tires barely touching the road. They got home and hooked a 95 hp tractor to it with log chains. Somehow they got it off. She decided it needed turning a little. That never happened. Just too heavy, but has been a play station for my kids, grandkids, and future generations.

Morning Gents! Its 55º and cloudy here headed for the 70's. The rain will move in this afternoon and be here all night and most of tomorrow.

We slept in this morning. I got good and tired at the beer festival last night and the Wife walked around in a few stores after she dropped me off. We both needed the rest. I gave up gun shows because I just can't walk around that much and it looks like I may have to give up the beer festivals too.

The contractor called saying the counter tops were ready and wants to work today. It was a few days sooner that they estimated. Thats ok with us, sooner is good!

If they don't need me for anything I may ride up to Little Rock with a buddy and shop for a rain jacket and some turkey loads.

You'all have a good one.

What a morning. It was 55 when I got up this morning. Had to get a little work done but I’m back home now on the back porch, coffee in hand, listening to the turkeys gobble back and forth. I’ve got a Boston butt in the smoker and going to split a little firewood before the kids get here in a couple hours.

Good luck with the inaugural match today Rick. I’d sure like to make it to at least one this summer.

I don’t have any big rocks to move today but I will be moving a bunch of little ones. Speaking of little ones, my 8 month-old granddaughter is visiting today. I’m trying to be the best grandpa I can. I complain to her about politicians and high gas prices and remind her about how things were much better back when I was her age. She doesn’t really seem to care. She’s more interested in pulling my hat and glasses off of my head to see if I can take them from her before she puts them in her mouth.

Make it a good day.

64º and cloudy this morning. Yesterday was pretty much as hectic as I expected. I arrived at the range at 6:15 and didn't get back home last night until 8:00. We had 37 shooters who competed with 44 rifles. I'm almost certain this was the largest UBR match to date other than the Nationals. I had one designated assistant and lots of volunteer help. It was still crazy from beginning to end. By the end of the day I was wondering what I was thinking when I planned this event. But there were 6 new records set in spite of some challenging conditions. This range has some very strange wind currents. I have to back there this afternoon to do a new member orientation and will be picking my wife up at the airport at 11"45 PM. Maybe I can fit a nap in there somewhere.

G'day Y'all,
Rick
