Just placed the order last night on the above rifle. Decided to go all out on optics and set a Leupold VX-L 6.5-20x56 Matte w/ Varmint Hunters Reticle on top. This will be my primary sage rat rig as I get back into varmint hunting. The 1 in 12 twist is some what new to me and would like to know if anyone else is shooting the same rifle? I have a little bit of time, but not a lot to get 1000 pc's of ammo loaded and ready for action. Any pet loads would be gratly appreciated!

For sage rats......

you don't need top end velocities.

27.5g of 748: 50g bullet: any primer= 3450 fps
26.5g of 748; 55g bullet; any primer=3150

748 is easy on a barrel.

You may investigate some loads with Blue dot for sage rats. Long shooting sessions inbetween cleanings.
