Well ...I'll try the new forum tonite......any way ..I shot my Savage varmint today with the new .17 mach 4 barrel from Sharp Shooter Supply.. I loaded up 25 rounds consisting of 18.6 grs of H 322 ,7 1/2 Rem BR primers in R-P cases with a Woodchuck Den 25 gr bullet....Shot 5 ..5 shot groups and the groups averaged 1 1/2 in at a 100 yds..not much to get excited about.

Some of the groups were string a bit ..so when I arrived back at the shop ..I changed bases and rings to the 6.5 x 20 x 40 Leupold scope/Savage combo.

Next I loaded up some more mach 4s with 30 gr Bergers as the barrel from SSS comes in a 1 in 9 twist....also I switched to 10X powder as my shooting pal swears by 10x in his mach 4 Cooper...we'll see...25gr Bergers shoot very good in the mach 4 Cooper varminter I have..so I loaded up 10 to try as well

Hope I don't have a tomato stake on my hands....Eric
