is there a place/site to recommend to do this? I see some on Ebay. A friend has a 440 score, mounted elk, he wants to sell to finish building his home.

here are a few places
I have heard that Cabelas, Bass Pro Shops, Sportsmans Whearhouse, to name a few, buy trophy mounts. You could try other BIG BOX hunting and fishing stores that are growing and building more new stores all the time. I think a telephone call to any of these stores would get you an answer..

I remember that 1 year in Colorado walmart had some HUGE elk hanging above the sorting goods counter where they sold hunting licenses.
