What are the rules you need to abide by to ship ammo, and who should you use to ship ammo? I have some old 22lr and I have found someone who wants it but I have never shipped ammo before????

You can't legally mail it, must go UPS. FedEx etc. Box must be marked ORMD.....there is no extra HasMat fee on loaded ammo. The times I have shipped ammo, I have used UPS......you will probably have to ship from one of their hubs, not a retail shipper. Call UPS at this number (1-800-554-9964), tell them you want to ship small arms ammo and they will tell you how to do it.

UPS will ship live ammo. Forgot the details, but, give them a call. It's not a big deal. The package must be identified with specific info and the rates are the same.

I ship my ammo to Wyoming every year, used to use UPS, I found FedEx Ground to be faster, more reliable and cheaper.
