While up at Skruske's house in Michigan a couple weeks ago, we naturally hit a bunch of Rummage Sales. It seems to be a State Sport up there and you can find some really good stuff....unlike Kentucky where its only baby clothes and tore up plastic toys.
I found a pair of Reebok Military Boots in my size for $2.00. They were a style that is no longer approved for duty because they are too LIGHT....we wouldn't want to make it too easy on our soldiers would we?? This is the model boot I had in Montana a few years ago that I cut the toes out of and duct taped the ends. Ky Fishman had a photo or two of them.

These Boots were Brand New....they had been laced up but seemingly never worn. I loved the other pair and would have easily given $25 for these. But..
I guess I should have took the photo before I went outside in wet grass and got the toes wet!!

Gotta love great deals when they jump out at you.

Friggen frustrating as hell when I was in. When they changed the boots over to tan, many units had different standards. Issued boots were crap. Soles were hard as bricks. Leather cheap as hell. I took the plunge and bought 2 sets of Belleville boots. They were like walking on clouds. First time I wore em, I was told to pack em up. They weren't authorized. Seen everyone and their uncle wearing them. Nope couldn't wear mine for over a year. Even when the military started issuing Bellevilles, I couldn't wear mine. Military logic for you.

I'd say that is a good deal for $2. There's probably been $3 worth of duct tape put on the ones he wore out.;) WD
