57° here in Upstate NY this morning with the high temperature to be about 74°. No rain forecast for today but chance of showers for all week coming up till Saturday.

Had a peaceful day yesterday, had to go to a funeral for a friend which I hate doing but. Today we will go to church and then relax the rest of it.

I hope You have a very nice vacation Charlie!

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone

morning all. 44 here, might get into the mid 80s again today. We had a shower go thru after dark last night, not sure how much.
Worked on a sprinkler then on my baler yesterday, then on one of the swathers.
Off to town for church and wally world after I get around the farm and check things over. Hope all the sprinklers are running.
Have a great Lords' day and remember those in need of prayer. And those that the wildfires are affecting, California and others states too.
GOD BLESS. Dean

Good morning from Ankeny Iowa, I slept in two days in a row. Amazing, I think.
63 here with cloud cover. We have not needed the AC for three days.
Yesterday we went shopping or tire kicking. I ended up with a camera lens in a focal length I needed. My wife wanted to get a bicycle. That was 2400.00 that she didn't want to spend. I would need one also and we were looking at spending real money. Put that idea on hold for a while.
Church today with the kids, then visiting friends and taking life easy.
Tomorrow we are on the road to Missouri.
Hope everyone has a blessed and restful day,
Ken

Good morning, GoGo. It's 65, going to 85, about like yesterday, which was absolutely beautiful. Rain due around Tuesday and we could use an inch or so.

I spent nearly all day yesterday at the range. Went early, with high hopes, but stuck a bullet on about the third shot, didn't have my compressed air with me, and ended up coming home to clean the rifle out and reseat the rest of my rounds a little deeper. Drove back to the range in the afternoon and did a little better, but nothing great. Gotta spend today trying to figure out why I'm having ammo problems that I haven't seen before. Only a month before the UBR Nationals it's not helping my confidence.

Y'all have a good'n and special prayers for Charlie and Miss Sue as they're traveling to Hatteras.

Good Sunday Morning from Missouri

69* and on the verge of a thunder shower here in the northern Ozarks. The weather has been crazy for the last few days. Chilly of a morning and hot and humid in the afternoons. Supposed to get rain every day, but so far it has not amounted to much just sprinkles scattered around. Radar shows a line of light stuff moving our way, so maybe. We could sure use some showers.

What part of Missouri are you headed for. If you happen to be near Pomme De Terre Lake let me know. I live there.

Prayers for all those in need and for our country. God bless!

The damncow farmer & me shot on the Hughes place yesterday. We went in at the gate by "the tree". It's call that 'cause it is the ONLY tree on that square mile. We walked in & had real good shooting for a couple hours until some rain & lightning moved our way.

Wade & son Kelby stopped by the big doublewide and jawed for quite a while. I had not seen Kelby since he was 14 & driving to school in his Jeep back about 2009. He is 26 now an exactly what you would picture if I described "BIG Montana rancher"

Corey had to power his CPAP machine so he did so with the rental car battery

The damncow farm was grumbling about damncows blocking his shooting.

This will give you an idea of the quality of grass the ranchers have this year.

After a bit more coffee, the most important meal of the day, we will venture forth in search of prairie dogs to turn inside out.

Have had a busy week. Grands were in, chainsawed and drug limbs then helping neighbor pick, load melons.
We had a full day Fri, needing four loads picked then I nto palletized boxes for his Cinncinati customer. Second load was a full, std farm wagon. I just barely got on it to go back to the house. I was laying uphill talking reverse curls with the 4 wheel racing lad when at the blinding speed of 2.3-3.1 mph, we turned, the wagon bumped and I shot off the side. The melons were slick I'll tell ya.

I landed totally horizontal, on the right side . . . hip. I felt it give. At 32ft per second for the first second, I'm thinking around .2 seconds till impact. Not sure how fast I was going.
They "nailed" it Sat AM. So here I am - a month on a walker then crutches. That will definitely crimp my style. Just plain aggravating. It's amazing how little upper body strength I have. I will be 72 this Dec. Need to put an exercise program in place and DO IT ! !

The farmer did get his loads picked and delivery made...
See all y'all later..

Quick update. We got on the road at 3:30 am and what we the most pleasurable drive to OBX turned to CRAP after we crossed Oregon Inlet. Everything is flooded. And that water is SALTY. Not good for vehicles. We were making great time. Stopped for a few groceries and the store is a [email protected]#$%. I'm parked in the boonies can't find a spot. We have about 30 miles to go but may be another hour or two getting there. What a mess! They had 15" if rain since last weekend. This wasn't the worst of it.
